Speed Camera Warning not staying in HUD

Did you go to Settings, Display, HUD, Route Warnings??? Confirm it is enabled there and then try again. If route warning is not in the list then it is default to IP. Retry that process until you see it there or give up.

Yes. I will try again, I did not give up yet. I did see it via HUD a couple of times in the past. I just hadn't tried to fuss with it until I saw your steps.

I will report back.

I signed up for the service for another year or so thinking the trial didn't work, I'm still within the 90 days and haven't gotten one traffic camera alert to date!

Haven't had traffic camera move from HUD to dash since January. Just upgraded to latest iDrive 11/2020.50 and also showing version 4.5.0 of the app.

I re-subscribed to the traffic camera app yesterday.
Today, I passed a CHP in the usual spot where they normally run radar, but I never did see a warning. Hmmmm?
I also noticed that even with the box checked for warning for going over the speed limit in red, it never turned red. That still doesn't work like it used to.

Ok it seems to be sticking to HUD, with and without Waze. I turned the engine off in between. My last trip was with Waze and Traffic Camera remained in HUD.

Same here albeit I do not use Waze. I have used the factory navigation every time I have driven the vehicle to see if it bumps the warnings to the IP and as of right now it has not. Hopefully it remains that way. For the record I am on "road-ahead 2.26.0". Not sure how to get the newer version because it does not update even after pressing update through the iDrive.

I updated my iPhone to 14.4.2 and iDrive to 11/2020.50. Other than the normal loss of some Bimmercoded options and resetting Remote Start, I did have to reset Speed Camera Warning to show in HUD instead of the instrument panel.

How did you update to 11/2020.50? Was that OTA or did you take it to the dealer?

Anyone here in the Los Angeles area? I've followed all the troubleshooting steps here and still not a single alert, on the instrument panel or HUD. Maybe no alerts where I'm driving ?

my car came with 11/2020.38 in Dec 2020, and the speed camera warning reverted down to the instrument cluster once, so it wasn't an ongoing issue for me. after I set it back to the HUD, it stayed there until I brought my car in for service two weeks ago to re-align my cameras. they updated to 11/2020.64 as part of the service which reset a few iDrive settings, one of which was the speed camera warning in the instrument cluster. I set it back to the HUD and it's still there.
