Owner's Pride Ceramic Coating Inside & Out

Hi gang,

My first stab into trying out OP, based on research & feedback. At my detailer's recommendation, we went with Opti Glass for all exterior glass. I've been a Ceramic Pro user, going back 3 cars, and I was looking for a little razzle-dazzle in trying something new. Plus my go-to Ceramic Pro guy currently has an massive wait list.

The paint correction was done extremely well, and the OP coating looks and feels tremendous.

Have to know how the interior ceramic coating went? Application process? Results?

The results are very good at this moment IMO, 4 days later. Keep in mind that this was done to a car I've had for almost 2 months, with 1,400 miles of NE winter use.

The OP interior treatment left a glossy-looking finish on leather surfaces, kind of an Armor All finish. The glossiness is fading day-by-day so far, with exception of the upper dash, which looks the same to me. The smell of leather is still there in my new car.

My WeatherTech winter mats, all interior trim, instrument cluster, inner glass, "Piano Black-like" surfaces, interior metal were all treated. Inner pillars, Alcantara headliner and everything was coated. The inner glass was coated with Opti Glass, where was the rest of the interior was liberally treated.

My past Ceramic Pro interior treatments left a much less glossy finish everywhere, and it seemed to have lost its shininess by the next day.

No idea on the application process since I wasn't there when it was coated. I'm assuming the solution was sprayed generously, surfaces left to soak in the stuff, then hand-buffed out using a microfiber?

It has an effect on dust blowing off much noticeably compared to before the treatment. Everything feels waxy soft to the touch, in a good way. There are no greasy or oily feels to the treated surfaces. Any gloss black surfaces will become slightly scratch / swirl resistant, along with providing a hydrophobic protection from moisture and the such.

Hope this helps.

Is it true that you will know real ceramic coating liquid as it will be in a glass bottle because it reacts with a plastic bottle ??

See that you’re a NY native like me. How much should I expect to spend for ceramic pro on a X5 M50i? I got quoted $2500 out here in LI NY by sound dimension in syosset.

yup - and you need to use a respirator and throw out anything that touches it, i.e., any microfiber clothes, etc ... it'll crystallize and get into your lungs and/or abrate your car

Or if you're willing to do a rinseless wash every few weeks you can skip ceramic and use any LSP like turtle wax flex wax and maybe some P&S Dream Maker topper for that special occasion!

but no right answer, just depends on your circumstances & preferences
