staggered and settings in idrive
Hello, I have a 2019 ×5 with the Staggered set up. I just put winters on for the first time there’s a setting in iDrive to set the tire size but neither the front nor backs are available in the list. How do I overcome that? And also there’s not a setting for the front and back separately. So do I enter the size of the fronts or for the backs?
Thank you for your help! |

what size? it sounds like non-OEM which you won’t find in the menu. it only offers OEM rear sizes and will display the recommended pressures for the fronts based on that

User guide list multiple options. No matter what, go by rear tires (not front ones). Last edited by roamio; 11-30-2023 at 05:41 PM.. |

2019 x5 40.
I have 275/40 r20 in the rear. 245/45 r20 in front. I enter other into the system, and it never initializes past 49% … |

the closest size you can select in TPMS is 275/45R20. luckily your front and rear tires both have the same circumference so you won’t face transfer case issues, but your speedometer will read 1-3mph faster than actual speed. also, you may face warranty claim issues if you develop any problems related to the iDrive system or tires because they’re not OEM. |

Figured it out. Bad sensor. Guess batteries don’t last forever
