Yes, people have put the 809s on the G05.

Would have to confirm size and offset.

I got the 808M wheels for winter. 10.5J in front and 11J rear. I'm even using a spacer (12mm) on the rears but non for the front as the wheel is almost sticking out a bit. Happy to send pics if u want.

i;28635756]Here you go[/QUOTE]

Is there no rubbing on front when turning?

My current summer setup on X5 M-Sport package is:
Front:
9.5x21
275/40R21
ET37

Rear:
10.5x21
315/35R21
ET43

Would love to go with 808M winter package
Front/rear:
295/35R21
10.5x21
ET31

That said Front would have wider rim and wider tire and 6mm diff in offset.
Both Front and rear will be sticking out more that i understand just worry about the front clearance.

Thanks

I had the same thought as you for my G05, but wanted to know if anyone experience rubbing. I was thinking of doing a square set-up with the 809s or 818s.

Just purchased 808M square setup:
295/35R21
10.5x21
ET31

From what I read so far it's the most popular setup 295/35 and will fit the G05 M Sport package.

How did the fit turn out on these?

This is a 2% deviation from the stock 275/45/20 or 275/40/21 diameter. It this acceptable?
I was eyeing 285/40/21 because its only a 1% deviation. The tires are a lot more expensive though.

Have you seen selection in 285? I'm piecing together my winter set now and have only come across the 1 in stock recently for 285 size, Vredestein Wintertrac Pro, also smaller select in general of tires. 295 has several more tires and brands to choose from despite the 1.7% diameter difference from stock size (I'm running 22s), but more importantly their isn't a difference between front and rears. Speedo will be off a bit, but the bigger concern with Xdrive is the front/rear difference.

I am not looking for winter tires. Its overkill for our use. All season ultra-high performance like Michelin Pilot Sport AS 4 or Continental DWS06 does just fine for us.

Did you square your set-up or just planning to use OEM rims with square tires? DWS is a great tire but doesn't come in a 285 as far as I'm aware (had an off forum discussion last year with a group of car friends about tire selection and lack of all-season choices on with the staggered 21s).

I am getting 21x10.5" aftermarket wheels and 295/35/21 michelins front and back. The new DWS plus are also available in this size.

How did you end up without spacers on front. As soon as I mount the front wheel, the rim touches the control arm and its entirely stuck to the point I can't spin the wheel. There is no clearance at all. I had to go with 15mm spacers. I could probably go even with 17 or 20mm to clear it even more.

Yes, the rear is fine no problem. However, for the front I needed the 15mm spacers to clear the space between the rim and the control arm. The 808M rim is wider than the original summer rim 10.5 vs. 9.5 and once the front mounted it touched the control arm entirety to the point I wasn't able to spin the wheel.

No problem on my end with the front wheels. Cant even imagine using spacers in the front as the wheels are already a bit wider than the fender. I got them from the aftermarket so maybe different from OEM 808m but still 10.5J and 295x35x21.

That's very interesting. They must be different than yhr OEM 808M. The offset must be different or the thickness of the rim. I had to use the spacers no other way around it. Glad it worked out well for you.
