You must have ordered accessories so it will stay At the Port for a few days while they are installed.

It seems like they are getting quicker but it was in the three to five day range.

When I was ordering my X5, I casually said to the dealer that he could've thrown in some goodies with the deal as a thank you, like the weather mats. He told me to remind him during delivery and he will provide me with a $100 coupon to buy the mats. He did and I purchased and installed them there and then during the delivery. I didn't know ordering the mats would've delayed my delivery and I am glad that I didn't order it with the build.

Today is day 10 sitting at the Richmond VPC waiting for a truck to my NorCal dealer. My SA says Richmond is a circus and they keep getting deliveries of other cars, but not mine. He hopes it will arrive this week.

11/4 - ordered
11/4 - status 112
11/6 - production begins, status 150
11/20 - build complete, QC, awaiting carrier assignment
11/22 - dispatched from factory
11/28 - at port
12/2 - still at port, status 193
12/8 - car arrived at Richmond, CA railyard
12/13 - dealer expected delivery, car did not show up
12/18 - still at port - 4 weeks after build complete

hmm... my car arrived at Richmond last Fri, still "at the port" today and I'm in bay area. This "10 days sitting at VPC" makes me start to question the pre-Xmas delivery of my 50e

It is very difficult to get enough carriers to take all of the vehicles to dealers. At one point they had people drive the individual vehicles to the dealers in order to help but have not heard of that happening lately.

It seems to be disorganized. At the port. My dealer said he's gotten at least 2 deliveries since mine arrived at Richmond - but who knows how long those cars waited for their ride!? And both he and Genius said it was supposed to arrive at the dealer on 12/13 and that didn't happen. So, yes...my guess is carrier/driver issues. Holidays, vacations and people out sick probably don't help the situation, either!

I do hope the delay isn't caused by in-transit damage they are trying to fix before the final leg to my dealer, though!

I called Genius again this morning. Asked if the delay was due to in-transit damage. She said no, there were no red flags on it. It's a carrier delay. That's a relief, I guess!

Ironically, I have to send the car back to dealer after less than 24hr of ownership, due to some kind of oil leaking.

Finally took delivery today! Big hassle because my husband has a migraine today but they let me take paperwork home for him to sign.

Financing showed 3.99%. I said, how come it’s not 2.99%? Sales manager said, oh, do they have 2.99 right now? Lol. Yes. You know they do. He lowered it to the 2.99. Hehe.

31 miles on it and it’s in the garage until I can poke around in it tomorrow.
