The e36 M3 coupe was what made me fall in love quite a few years ago and it always sticks with me as a stunning car.

Of course other cars in each respective line-up of the cars above were good looking too, but frequently, the M version of these cars were the most beautiful for obvious reasons.

This was my 2002 when I picked her up in Vancouver and drove her home across the Rockies ... I still miss her and kick myself here and then for ever having given in to the wife and sold her....

also loved my sDrive Z4 3.5i and of course my baby now in my garage with tears in her eyes since someone kicked her in the back last Saturday Got rear ended ... it will be a $3,000- +++ fix

Couldn't agree more. I think the E46 M3 is a timeless design and I regret getting rid of it for the E92 M3. Silly me

Not simply a 3.0, but you must mean the 3.0 CSL Batmobile.
How the heck does the thread get this far without citing the M1???

The E46? There were few things I really liked about mine in the end. Stock suspension looked like a 4x4. Exhaust was raspy and sounded like crap. Had even less low end torque than the E92. Heavy as hell, especially compared to coming from an E36. And that SMG was supposed to be the future, well that just was the last straw.
