And I have both Racechips, MSS, spacers, coding, tires, conversion, paint...etc.etc. etc.

The Racechip is the easiest and best upgrade you can do for daily, worry free performance increase.

My method is, trying to "break" it within 1200 miles.

I picked up an x5 40i last week. Going to get some stock dragy numbers (probably no quarter mile ones, only 0-60 or something slower), and some with RaceChip GTS Black. Will let everyone know using 93 octane. Might also try adding a few gallons of e85 to up the octane.

I figured I'd give some feed back on my experiences so far on the recent install of the GTS Black on the X6M50i.

Installation was pretty easy. Thanks Ben for sending me the electronic copy of them so I could blow the pictures up. " it sucks getting old and the eyes going away" LOL. My only complaint about installation was getting the damn cold air intakes out of the way. Putting them back in was a breeze as I changed from the stock 50i ones to the M version. It gets rid of the snorkel on them and looks so much better. I'm going to install the M cross brace here in a couple of weeks. I've been running around town with it set on 5 and you can feel the difference in the increased torque as it is pulling. one thing I really like about having the app is switching from stock to another mode pretty easily. I did 4 good launches with it set on 7 and man there is quite a difference in the additional 120Ft LB. I then switched it off and it gave me the opportunity to tell the difference. I didn't do any timing or anything to compare numbers so no data to throw out to everyone, just seat of the pants feel. I will make a run to San Antonio in a couple of weeks and set it to the Eco Mode and see how it compares to the trip we just did to Dallas from Houston. I was able to get 22 MPG set on EcoPro mode with cruse at 65-78 MPH on rather flat Texas roads. This will be a real comparison instead of what BMW says it should get. Only thing that concerns me is this thing gets rather hot under the hood with the Hot V8 turbos where they are. I've got it positioned on the pass side as far away from things as the wires will let me place it. I will let everyone know how the economy test goes in a few weeks.

Great video on the install..thanks for posting.

If I plug in the 'box/GTS/ecu', and there is power - when then? (Obviously I hadn't powered down correctly.

After install - I just go turn the car on and drive away? In the video, he snaps the engine cover on and that's it. There's nothing more to that?

TY. Can you PM me the price (2022 X5 40).
If you didn't power down the car correctly and start unplugging sensors, you may get CEL. Which will go away after driving.

After install, just turn on and drive besides setting up the App to sync with the module.

Trying to figure out where I plug into. Is this it? If so which end (left side black with grey clip or right side grey with white clip?) This is the drivers side of my 2022 X5M50i. not sure how to get to it on the passenger side as this is hidden and can't figure out how to get that air duct hose out (I can get out of intake housing but not out of front of car. No, that's not it.
That is the secondary O2 sensor.
Do not plug it in there, you'll toast the module.

I've included my version of installation instruction with the shipment.
It has detail picture there.
The sensors that you need is on the intercoolers, 1 on each side.

To pull the air duct tube out you need to pull out and up. If able, put your hand in and squeeze the bottom together of the duct as you pull outward.

Yeah Im able to get it out at the TOP from the air filter housing just not at the BOTTOM in very front of car - probably making it harder than it is and guess I'll figure it out at some point lol!

Right, you need to squeeze the bottom (squish it together to free it from its clips) where my red circle is. Think of squishing a hamburger haha.

Yea those air ducts are a PIA. Not real sure why BMW put the periscope on it. I changed mine out for the ones off the M version. cost me a few bucks but it looks cleaner.

I did the same thing and plugged it into that connection. I got lucky and it didn't fry the box. I had Ben send me an electronic file of the installation so I could zoom in on things.

We took a trip to San Antonio for the Easter weekend. I put the GTS on 1 for ECO mode and left it there. Trust me when I tell you you can feel the difference. I've been running around the past few weeks on 5-6 and loving it. On the trip which again is rather flat as it is Texas I was able to get 22.9 MPG with both the box and X set on Eco modes. set the cruse to 78-80 for the majority of the trip speed limit is 75. We did make 2 pit stops for the wife so there was some acceleration points in the trip. overall rather pleased.
