lowering my x5 5.0

I am such a newbie with this car. So I have the standard suspension on my 2019 x5 5.0. It doesn't not have the 2 axle air suspension option. Can I get a full coilover strut system to lower my car? I seen bart@autoculture with the KW V3 system. So there's only 2 ways to lower this car, links if I have the air suspension or springs/coilovers if I have the standard for the 5.0? sorry to sound so confused. just this suv have so many different options and it got me lost in the sauce.

Correct only two way links for air suspension and kwv3 coil overs for standard suspension but not sure if h&r makes a spring alone kit yet you would have to ask our supplier r33_RGSport hit him up for the best deals

Uhm, I don't think KW has released coilover for 2019 G05 X5 yet.
Are you sure on the KW?

Edit: Nevermind, they actually just did.

Nothing yet.

Only Eibach have it, but not available in the US yet.
I can import some if you guys are interested. But Eibach USA won't be able to warranty it if anything is happening to the kit.

I'd definitely be interested in importing if it wasn't too expensive. Not looking to spend thousands on coil overs on the daily. Have too many other cars I'm dumping money into LOL. Let me know if this is something you guys could do, thanks!

I would be interested too if the price was reasonable for the springs. Any idea of how much it drops the vehicle?

Currently only Eibach in Germany. There is a source in the US that have it listed, but even that, the online store will have it shipped from Germany to you.
I have to affiliation to that shop and can't guarantee that shop since I never heard the name.

One thing that I know, MSS Suspension from UK is working on one and I told them yesterday to hurry up.

Do you know what the spring rates are on the Ebachs? How would we know if they are are stiffer or softer than the stock M50i springs. My M50i has the dynamic handling package so does that mean I have different springs than the regular M50i springs? I was also looking at the AC Schnitzer springs but they might be too stiff since they say the car will handle like the X5 M.

You can't get specific spring rate on progressive spring.
It will be ranges, and usually spring company doesn't publish it since it is a trade secret.
Otherwise the competitor will be making the same spring rate at fraction the price.

So it’s a crap shoot to see how the car will ride on different springs?

Pretty much.
But based on the history, here are aftermarket springs characteristics per brands.

H&R - The most drop, stiffer ride.
Eibach - The least drop, comfortable ride (very similar to stock).
AC Schnitzer - Similar to Eibach since I believe, they private labelled from Eibach.
Hamann - Similar to H&R since I believe it is a rebrand of H&R.

MSS is quite a new player, and been working closely on F97/F98 X3M/X4M setup. It is adjustable height spring and rides similar or better than stock. I have asked them to hurry up in making G05 X5 application.

Any idea when MSS will release a spring for the G05 time wise and how much of a drop we can expect? MSS looks promising.

Just spoke with Will from MSS Suspension
It would appear that due to the delays associated with Covid 19, MSS won't have something for us with adaptive M suspension until the fall (mid September-ish). Still waiting to hear back from H&R

Eibach has springs out. They're about $300, but not a fan of the Eibachs personally. They don't offer much of a drop and theyre really more just for looks. I believe 914 said something similar about the Eibachs. I'm looking for something more sporty and that will stiffen the ride a tad. I know MSS can deliver, just waiting on HRs response as they've always offered good value for the money. The Waiting game is tough!
