Yes. To remove. Powder coat and install.

The painted center really sets it off -- now it looks like two separate grills, as a BMW should have. Even outdoors in the cold, it only took three minutes to install.

I know people are complaining about the price, although mine was only ("only"?) $515 shipped. Any DIYer want my original grill to paint themselves? It's only a month old and in perfect shape.
That's the best grille I've seen yet - well done.

I am guessing I could get them powdercoated for $100-$125 around here, but the whole bumper has to come off to remove them and be reinstalled, so that is probably a lot of the $275 total.

I haven't ordered these specific parts, but I've ordered many things from Schmiedmann for my 850CSi. They are a great resource, and their prices are hard to beat (but remember you have to add in for shipping from Europe, plus they usually add something for using a credit card).

Did you give them the install instructions for the exhaust tips?
How did they know how to do it?

Now I'm wondering if I really need them. And trying to find out other ways to black it out. Do they need to be powder coated like rims?

Did not have chance to view this thread til now. Please PM us for a quicker reply.

The exhaust trim we offer is from BMWs catalog. We do not control the pricing of them. BMW sets the retail pricing and has recently raised them as of last week. The prices on our site is similar to the same price if you went to your local BMW parts department.

Unfortunately for us we do not have as much margin as many BMW dealers do on OEM parts like their exhaust trims.

I like it also, it ties together the chrome in the headlights with the gloss black of the rest of the trim much better than the OEM all chrome.

I just ordered them, just before they can start telling everyone BMW raised the price on them as well. Hopefully they only raised it in American markets and Euro markets are still safe for a while.

I also got the floating centre wheel caps.
The ones that keep the centre cap up right when the wheels are turning. I thought they might look funny so I got them as well since they are also cheaper. Part# 36122455268

For those of you who purchased the IND exhaust trim, did you install your self or pay a body shop? It appears the bumper must come off, correct?

I was just going to take it to a body shop to get them to do it by removing the bumper.
I haven't gotten a quote on what it would cost yet.
If anyone wants to get a lot of views on YouTube you should post a video on how to install the exhaust tips.
I'll be the first to thumbs up and subscribe!

That's great to know. Thanks for the feedback. I ordered a pair from Schmiedmann. Hopefully, shipping doesn't take too long.

Their shipping is surprisingly quick (sometimes as fast as two days!), but many parts often show as out of stock and have to be ordered -- that can push delivery out by a week or two.

Which one? All of the are OEM but most come painted in some way from IND if they're black unless the person wrapped theirs which isn't ideal
