Order delays due to Coronavirus ?

My car is 15 kms away, which is a good news of course... but still no appointment for delivery. Now we wait for the registration papers... and transportation from the preparation center to the dealer... but no time given. Should be just days... Yet no timing.
From day one, order, I could never get a proper planning. That is so weird for such an organisation... !!? Ok Covid messed up things, but still...

Some say the wait is the best...

You wont' get a VIN until about a week before production.
A production week should be available if the status is 112. Otherwise they have at least a requested production week (based on dealer quota)

Got an update from my dealer as well.
Pre-corona: production w19
Post-corona: moved production to w39
Just updated and should be final...: DELIVERY in W38 (production week not specified nor did I ask about it)

Went and took a peek at her today! Car was still all wrapped and taped up from transport. Today it went through PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection). Will sign paperwork and pick up either Monday or Tuesday. Sorry for the bad "peek pictures" Will for sure post better pictures after its detailed and cleaned up with my "stuff" is added

Was a long wait. Glad its finally here!

When I give my VIN insert to mdecoder I see only some of my option. It is normal?

I get almost no info on mdecoder. I bought a VIN report on autodna and got a complete car report with all the options.

I didnt get any "compensation". However, since this was my fifth BMW from them they pulled some strings and got me moved up in the production queue. That was gesture enough.

For me, just over two weeks. Production started 5/27 and production completed 6/11. Now just waiting for PCD date.

If you have a VIN already that means your car has been made or will be very soon and you do not need a production number.
If your car is on a Willenius boat you can track your car by putting in your VIN in Cargo ID here:
