can you be more specific? did you get a check control notification? if it’s what I think it is, you may need to get your shark fin antenna components checked out. hopefully just a battery issue…

When I turn the car on it dings and a message on the speedometer pops up saying “emergency call system malfunction”. No clue what triggered this issue. It worked Monday, Tuesday it didn’t. I assume a service visit is in order….

Sounds like the same issue many are having with the water leak into the shark fin antenna assembly. Seems like this is a very common issue.

Yeah check the forum under electronics, idrive etc.
I have this same issue. Repair is approx $3600. Its caused by a bad seal for the fin which is causing water to go in and the computer is right there…..

Likely shark fin and TCM module. Cost $2500 to fix. Be aware gasket failure is a rubber part and not covered by warranty.

Cost of gasket itself isn’t covered by warranty but the rest should be is my understanding. Or am I wrong about all of it.
