I also did some recharging on the ICE. My cruising speed was less than yours. 130-135. So I think our values are comparable 9,9 vs 10,3. The extra 0,4 will probably be due to your higher cruising speed. And if it is not 98 is 20 cents more than 95. So with that price difference it will still be cheaper to use the slightly less efficient 95. I will try 95 on my way back to see what happens. Happy holidays btw. |

I didn't give me a different feeling of performance and the economy doesn't seem to differ either. It also 20 cents a liter more expensive. Let's compare when I drive home on 95 and you on 98. I have charged my battery here that might be some % difference on 1000 km if you can't charge. |

Octane has nothing to do with performance. It’s simply about the degree of difficulty in igniting the fuel. Running what the engine is designed to run will give the best performance.

I didn't get the message you got. My roof started working when I fully opened and closed the blind once. I don't know if they have to do something to initialise roof opening after transport and delivery. Could be that was the problem in our cars? If the roof doesn't move the automatic function can't work either. Maybe the problem is solved now. Was this the first time you opened the roof? There are some post on the fault message you got. I don't know how it was finally resolved. |

So I wonder with what interval this problem occurs. I have the car a week and this is the second time. Don't know if software upgrade will resolve this. Are you on 03/2020? |

Not really on topic but since I guess there are a lot of Belgian owners reading here: has any of you managed to get the Lane change assistant working in Belgium?
I have the option activated in idrive, and I also checked with esys and there is no code 8TR in my FA, so I guess it should be working. But in fact, when I am in assisted driving mode, with the assisted driving view displayed, I push the turnsignal stalk to the resistance point, hold it there, and nothing happens (aside from the turn signal activating obviously) |

It's entertaining...
- to hear you guys even mention 98 octane Bensin for the 2020 X5
Living in Norway - the most politically correct country in the World (NOT! well, many believe so...a joke that is I personally think) - 98 octane is really, and this is true, only for lawn movers, boat motors...and possibly some V12 Ferrari's...98 is also priced way way higher than 95 so it's a no-go in many ways. Anyway, thanks for the entertaining yet also informative thread! All best BXdriver

I am currently in France and the price difference is small in Belgium it is bigger. That's why I tried. It is being advertised as V power / premium / ... suggesting it gives more power. Probably different rules as in Norway. |

Acc on, an assisted driving (steering and speed). Don't steer yourself because that cancels the action. And do as you describe. It takes a bit getting used to find the correct point. A yellow arrow appears and the car starts steering. Mine was delivered 12/2019 and it worked directly. Now o 03/2020 and still works. TBH it works but I never use it. It is a bit less fluent than I would do my self. And it just takes time. For me it is a gimmick. |
