Personally, I plug mine in each time I return home, and the 45e doesn't offer the option to set the max limit. In the three years I've owned it, the maximum range degradation is minimal. Your results may be different. I don't drive all that much so my total mileage is small for the age of the vehicle.

I do the same with my 50e. I'm leasing it so a little less concerned about the longer term ramifications (if any). And I have the charge level set to 100% and the rate at the max (32A I believe?).

3 hours give or take from depleted to 100%. That's been great for us and our driving needs. At only 40-ish miles of range, I definitely would not want to handicap this battery at 80% max charge. I'd be getting into the ICE far more frequently.
