Congrats on the ride. Truly don't think there's a bad choice between 40i, 50e, and M60. Just depends on what you want. I also have a large SUV, a Chevy Suburban ('18, 5.3L V8, 3.42 gearing) which does most of our long distance family circus hauling for us. Drives and handles amazing for what they are, but yes it's like driving your living room around! BMW definitely spoils you.

I agree. We are keeping the Yukon for this very reason. I’m still getting used to the “small” x5. Lol

Fell in love with the X5 after test driving Genesis, Lexus and finally an X5. I liked the noticeable horsepower difference between the base x5 and 50e, and thought I’d dip my toes in the electric world, so to speak, without going fully EV. My daily commute is about 25 miles r/t, so if I want to I could do that totally on battery. I’d probably install a level 2 charger in my garage for convenience. The problems I’ve been reading related to the 50e has me a little worried about what I’m getting into after spending that much money. For approximately $10k more, I can get a nicely loaded M60i. My window to change my mind is obviously closing. Any thoughts/opinions would be appreciated. Thanks
I got my X550e a couple of weeks back. I am really enjoying my ride. My daily ride is under 25 miles and hence have pretty much driven thus far in Electric mode (~90% of my 500 miles drive). Super smooth, spacious and pretty fast as well. I have driven in Sport mode on freeways and it brought a wide grin on my face. I have a level 2 charging point in my garage and that helps with a 0 to 100% charging in around 3 hrs. Only disappointment is that I did not opt for the DAP package and hence missed the options of ACC and Lane changing assist . But other wise no repents thus far.

Congratulations your M60i looks great!!!

Glad you loved it, I told you the V8 is still the best one by far.

Well, only the best for those who appreciate driving fun more than fuel economy, I only drive maybe 5-7 K Miles /yr so fuel economy is not that important to me.
