Also found the 0-60 for just electric only. Significantly improved over the 45e.

It is not mine, I found the YouTube video. The 0-60 with the engine activated was done with the battery at 0 percent.

Has anyone posted a 0-60 run using ICE and battery? Would really love to know if BMW's 4.5 posted time is understated.

In UK Bmw posted time for 50E 0-60 is 4.8

4.3 non brake boosted. Brake boosted with juice in battery was 3.8-3.9.

If that's correct they won't sell many X5M's

It’s amazing. However, that’s just 0-60, the X5M May fly by after that…

Even if battery shows 0%, there is juice in the battery and for such acceleration absolutely the electric engine is activated.

I believe the lower strip is still there but the upper is gone and yeah I don't like the X5 logo and "Arrows" would much rather have the upper strip.

So is it true that if the high voltage battery shows zero range and the vehicle is running only on ICE, the battery has a “buffer” we can’t see (that the ICE keeps charged enough) to be able to keep getting the same 0-60? Or is acceleration actually slower when the HV battery shows zero range? I’m reading mixed findings in this thread.

For 0-60 you will always have all the power even if zero battery remaining. Of course if you do 100 times you will run out of battery hypothetically speaking

Also, there is eboost which helps on mountain passes. Basically is using the electric motor to assist the ICE without downshifting to lower gear (higher revs). I believe if you have zero battery then eboost might not be available until regen charges the battery

There's eboost and eassist...similar, but different. You may lose eboost when your battery is too low, but eassist is usually available all the time with few exceptions.
