you have to take these high starting electric range numbers with a grain of salt. if you were very efficient prior to charging (ie, lots of coasting or downhills), then it will give a false high range. the converse is true as well, but nobody starts threads about that unless they think there’s an issue.

4.5e range - 56 miles

I am US but had mine coded so the battery usage capacity is the same as in Europe.
For the first 16 months my MPG was in the mid to upper 40's. Since the coding the last two tanks have been in the 70's, pretty much doing the same type of driving. Partially due to warmer weather.

The estimate is based on the last 18-miles of travel...to duplicate that, you'd have to drive EXACTLY the same way in the future, under exactly the same weather conditions (to duplicate the HVAC loads), at exactly the same speeds, accelerations, and regeneration opportunities, which is nearly impossible...

Electric only, or in Hybrid mode on the motorway?

All the travel was in Hybrid and destination input in navigation which is equivalent of Adaptive mode in 45e.

The day when it had 0KM of e-range, I travelled 15KM. 9KM was on petrol and 6KM was electric (which were from re-gen etc)

I think its pretty good result given the fact the advertised range is 105KM.

Last Thu I drove almost 800km in Adaptive mode in my 45e. Started with fully loaded and tanked with provided target destination.

Electricity was completely over after 209km of drive. During this time 116km were in pure electric.

Looks like you can get a lot more from the battery in the 50e if 45e can do as on the attachment :-)

That's just WOW. It would be good to know how many of those miles from regen, i doubt you can get this info in the vehicle

I was driving alone, so I had a chance to make observations.

The first part of the trip (~280km) was done with speeds between 70-90km/h (mostly), with 110km/h highest for short parts. Rest of the trip was done with a speed of 140km/h

I was using ACC and not speeding.

Electric engines supported combustion almost all the time but with minimal "usage" of power. Even on a flat road.

The funniest thing was when I started with a combined range ~560km, where the range of 65km was visible on electric.

I finished my trip with 80km of combustion range left! The whole trip was on one tank of PB95.

PS I drove back on Monday, the same distance with similar results - I've added the second photo now.

Just returned from a 650 mile road trip in my 45e, all of it on battery control. When I get in the morning back, it showed 40 miles for the first time in ages. 5 miles on all-electric later, it figured out who I was again and showed 29.

BTW, on a trip to and through mountains, I get 27 mph using ICE. Love it.
