Car - 2024 X6 xDrive 40i

Hello! So I just bought the car and added it to my account and MyBMW app. However, the app only shows a generic picture of a sedan under wraps. I’ve tried removing and re-adding my car but it still shows like this. I have a Brooklyn Grey Metallic exterior with 915M wheels, no special order paint.

Any ideas why this might be happening and potential fix?

I also have the same issue. I reported this as a issue in the account tab. But no response from them.

there’s an old thread with similar issue, but the owner had an Individual color. it was resolved with the help of Genius

How do I do that? I don’t want to accidentally remove my car from my acoustic or unsubscribe from any included services.

I can try calling genius line too.

Push and hold in the volume button for 90 (some say 70) seconds until iDrive reboot three times.

So far I have tried deleting the app just from my phone and reinstalled it without a fix. My car does show up properly in mygarage website but for some reason the app has a problem. Is anyone having the same problem on a android phone? umzzy issac_koshy

Browser? I was having difficulty opening the My BMW app on my Android phone using FireFox - no problem before - received message that I needed to use Chrome. Activated and now can access.

MyBMW app on the phone (android and iPhone) doesn’t show my car picture. It shows a generic sedan under white cover (pictured above). But when I log into mygarage.bmwusa.com, I can see real picture of my car along with other settings on my profile. It seems like something is broken in the backend where the mobile app isn’t receiving the correct car picture data to display on the app.

It's been a year, and very rarely I still get that on the main screen and under the Check Control Messages section and the individual tire pressure views.

It resets pretty quickly, so I never got too worried about it.

MyBmw is showing the exact configurations as my car, however the parking assistant view / remote 3d view/ car preview in idrive etc are not synced to my specs.

is it possible to get these car images reflecting exact configurations?

Yes, this is a silly thing, but I would expect these kind of small things to be done correctly for a brand like BMW.

Also, the car graphics in the idrive systems are also different for me. Its the msport package that is missing, which is throwing me off.

Is this common?

I tried the telematics restart twice. Deleted the app from my phone. Nothing has worked so far. Still see the sedan with the cloak.

There is nothing you can do to accomplish tfat.

I had the same issue when I bought my 22. The reason behind this issue most likely have a frozen paint color. Mine appear in about eight months after I bought my car.

I don’t have any special paint or wheels. No idea why it’s not syncing.

I am running into the same issue after upgrading my phone. On my previous phone the image shown was X5 in Brooklyn grey but on the new phone it's the same image you have with a cover over the car.

I have also tried adding and removing from My Garage, reinstalling the app but have been unsuccessful.

So your issue happened after you upgraded your phone? For me, it’s not working on my iPhone, my wife’s iPhone or my pixel 6 android phone.

option 1: there is something the Genius has to do on their end to send the correct vehicle image to your MyBMW app profile, but not all Geniuses know how (see below)

option 2: there’s an old thread where someone coded his correct vehicle image. the image that showed initially upon taking delivery was incorrect. the Genius line wasn’t any help

Thanks! I’ll call genius line now and see if they can help.
Can you point me to the thread where someone was able to code it? Did they code it in the app or their car? The image in my car is accurate.
