Make sure you test drive your special order.

Went to pick up our 50e we ordered went on a test drive and the seats were very uncomfortable. My hip was hurting on the right bolster after 5 minutes. My wife also didn't like the seats she was hurting in the same area. Very disappointing we waited 2 1/2 months for this. Also the headlights were dim and didn't have active bending I thought BMW had good headlights. Make sure you test drive your special orders or you might be in for an expensive mistake. We ended up passing on this.

I would go one step earlier. Test drive before placing an order, right? Thing like seat comfor , can easily be found and change your mind of ordering.

As for headlight, it is very unlikely you can do a test drive at night unless you are at a location where sky is completely dark by 4-4:30pm? Btw, bmw headlight has never stand in luxury segment. They are just average, not great but certainly not bad either. At least in my experience, both Audi and Acura have better headlight

I have to say my seats are quite comfortable. I’ve had many people in my 50e since delivery in Aug and people say how comfortable the vehicle is. Personally, I think the headlights are brighter than my Audi A4 LEDs as well.

As bad as BMW seats might be today, 30 years ago they were offensively torturous. I had to replace the seats in 2 of my first couple BMWs with Recaros to make them tolerable. My X7 is OK, but my MB seats are much better.

I can't imagine buying a new BMW without the multi contour seats, and I can't imagine someone saying the multi contour seats are uncomfortable--they get almost universal rave reviews everywhere else I've seen.

The car isn't without its flaws but I've never found a problem with the headlights either.

So glad I ordered the luxury multicontour seats. Very comfortable on long trips. Well worth the cost.

Even the base headlight has the cornering feature in the UK. I thought that was the same in the US

Cornering light is not the same as “bend” OP referred to. OP refer to steering response headlight which was in PreLCI. LCI removes that feature

The UK LCI has all the previous features but LED based, not Laser. I guess this is a regional situation in regards to the LCI

As many others have stated, these seats in the X5/X6 are extremely comfortable. Read the OP's other 7 posts, troll.

The x5 seats were okay in my 15 minute test drive. It's garbage for long trips though and my back starts to hurt. Can't really tell how it is on long trips in a short test drive.

I think seat comfort is very personal. For me g05 seats are also just ok. Not the most comfortable for me even within bmw family. My main issue is seat back and head rest are too high. I also prefer seat to be slightly narrower

I just built a 50e on their website and one of the options is: Full LED with cornering lights. It seems it's available as an option, unless "cornering lights" means something else in BMW language. I think myQ7 Prestige had a similar setup where a side light within the headlight housing illuminated when the wheel met a specified turning threshold which in turn gave better visibility throughout the turn. The laser lights on my m50i seem to have some kind of mechanical solution where the light or something in the headlight housing turns, and I just hope that never breaks it of warranty.

Cornering night is a side illumination light that light up when you turn the steering to certain percentage. It is intended for slow speed tight turns. It is NOT steering response or bmw calls it adaptive headlight.

Steering response headlight or adaptive headlight is main headlight turns with steering input according.

Pre LCI has both adaptive and cornering lights. LCI has cornering light but not adaptive anymore. Maybe LCI owners can confirm if headlights are adaptive

Okay, I see the difference now. Strange, even my previous 2011 Lincoln MKX had that feature and it was considered a bargain compared to many premium SUV/CUV. It's a shame that BMW is cutting so many corners on their premium priced vehicles. At least they brought back soft-close doors.

We are having the same conversation in another thread. They are no longer adaptive (although some say there is a little movement with high beams). They move up and down but do not turn with the steering.

Says ‘Adaptive LED Headlights’ on my order sheet and my manual for the car describes the link to steering, as per my pre-LCI. For me all the same as my previous X5, only LED and not Laser based.

I believe they are referring to the base headlamps, not the upgraded ones.

If you have 552's then they are not bending, perhaps you have a different option in the UK.

Lots of adjustments with the multi contours which I have. Pull in the bolsters if you need that BMW hug. I do. Head rest can also be adjusted.

I have the massage seats too. BMW are the most comfortable I've experienced.

To each his own....
