Can someone verify…….

When you are exceeding the speed limit and you have this box checked (see photo) does the exceeded speed shown circled on the right display in red???
I had a loaner (cant remember if it was an X5 or X3) and when I exceeded the speed limit, the numbers went from white to orange/red. I tried to duplicate this on my F95, but the numbers stay white.

I noticed the same thing. On my wife's x7 and my x5 that I traded in the number use to change to red/orange when over the speed limit.

My x5m doesn't change when going over the limit.

It goes red when you first go over the speed limit or it changes below your current speed.

I can confirm on my 22 x5 M50i

I'm starting to think the X5M (F95) doesn't have this feature but the G05 and other chassis do. Bummer, cause i like it.

You don't have a full "M" vehicle. Even though the option is there to choose for the speed to turn red when exceeding the speed limit, it doesn't work on the F95 (Full M Vehicle).
Why BMW still has the option to activate it, who knows. No doubt they are to lazy to change the coding for it.

Never said I did and I guess I missed the part where this was only big boy Ms discussion.

Thought he was asking about x3s and x5s.

I was asking about the X3 and X5. Thanks for your input. I know I saw the numbers go red on the loaner, just couldn't remember if it was an X5 or X3. When I got in my F95, i activated it, but couldn't get it to work. I thought something was wrong with the software but thanks to you and others here I learned its not active on the F95.

Same here...no COLOR change...it just blinks for a moment and then stops. I went through a number of settings when I Bimmercoded my car for stuff I cared about and I don't recall seeing the option to activate this...but then I wasn't looking for it specifically. The blinking is enough for me....it causes me to glance and then I'm over it...

Like many have stated already, I can also confirm that my X6M shows the warning, but the color doesn't change, while in the X540i, the warning turns red / amber in the HUD when over the speed limit.

I surmise that BMW understood that ///M drivers will most likely be traveling faster that the speed limit ( even if it's 2 MPH over) and didn't want to have that visible que causing the "mental stress" most red colored warning lights are designed to induce.
