Anyone has idea why the tracking stuck at "at the port" state for about 6 days?
here is the timeline:

Prod data is 7/15
7/16 Awaiting carrier assignment
7/17 Dispatched from factory
7/19 At the port

Since then it stuck at "at the port" state and wondering why is the delay.

I asked my CA and he texted me 2 pics, 1st pic shows "at Processing Center", and the 2nd pic is the detail of "at processing center" which shows "released to Carrier" state.

CA also told me that my car can be here any day. Just wondering if there is any chance that I can get my car this week. I live in Bay area btw.

It generally takes three to four weeks to get to the Bay Area so you have a few weeks yet. Your At the Port is likely the Kansas City rail yard.

I am week 28 and went from Quality Check this morning to AWAITING CARRIER ASSIGNMENT!

Of course, after seeing your post I went to track my 50e hoping that mine might have left QC. Sadly, it’s still says it’s in QC (13 days). I’m hoping for some movement soon. All of this waiting is getting so frustrating.

After 15 days in QC, my 50e is now in “Awaiting Carrier Assignment.” Woot! Finally!!

Now for the long wait for it to travel across the US to the west coast.

It’s both exciting and stressful to watch and monitor the build.

I have the car! The only issue I noticed on the drive home is my cell phone (Galaxy S21) kept disconnecting from the wireless charging pad.

Is there supposed to be a cover on the left side of the "secret" area below the cargo floor? Pictures below.

I don't use the wireless pad, too slow and heats up the phone so I can't comment on disconnects.

Watch this video at 7:07 mark appears no cover. I would check some other vids and owners for definite answer.

My 50e finally moved to “In Transit” today. Will I be the last Week 28? I’m on the west coast, so still several weeks out.

Mine went out of QC about the same time as your and the status changed to In Transit last night. I am in the San Francisco area. I am wondering whether you know the bill of lading number? I have called BMW genius twice. They told me that there is no lading number.

Sorry, I have no additional information. Was thinking about trying to call the Genius on Monday, but it sounds like they don’t have any additional info.

Spoke with a Genius today and he confirmed that my 50e is set to arrive in Southern California on Friday (Aug 11th). I can’t remember what he called it, but it’s where they do the final quality check. He said after the final quality check it will be sent to my dealer.

I’m guessing possibly another week or two before I can pick it up?

Any update in status for both of you? If the car arrives at the VPC, the status seems to change back to "At the port"?

Mine still says in transit. Should have arrived at Richmond today. Maybe it will update tomorrow.

I checked and mine oddly says “at the port.”

However, my dealership actually emailed me earlier today and said that my X5 has been released to the trucker and should be at dealership in the next few days.

That makes sense. At the Port is from when it arrived at the destination rail yard and the tracking is a little behind as it likely will go to In Transit depending on how far away your dealer is and how the updates are done.

Congrats! BMW Genius told me that mine is expected to arrive at Richmond VPC on Aug 14th. I hope it can arrive on time so hopefully picking it up later next week or weekend/
