Hi all, my car is 2023 X5M50i with 7K miles. Noticed today weird high pitch, squeaking/grinding noise coming from the passenger side when car was in motion. It went away after 30 minutes or so but noticed thus black fluid was leaking. Anyone know what the issue is? Should I bring in for service asap or can I drive around few more days?

Needs to be replaced. Probably both sides. Had this done about two weeks ago on my 2020 with 74K miles.

Thanks, what part is gone wrong here? Disappointing this happened only after 7k miles

Seems like a Strout oil leak, but I have no idea why you heard the noises. Maybe a rock got trapped in the strout mount?

It looks like that black stuff is being slung upward. Is this an X-drive? If so, my money is on a leaking CV joint on that front axle.
