Maybe try Personalize Menu on Settings, to see if it was somehow disabled to avoid showing it. Without knowing the version, it's hard to know if it's newer than what I have on my just delivered X5 (Saturday).

Go to the apps menu, tap the idrive controller to the left then hit Option button on the idrive controller. You will see "update apps and services" It will update and bring back your apps and weather widget.

Updated apps and services. Restarted iDrive. And weather is back, but my American education has me clueless as to how warm it is outside. Yes, units are set to F.

I did not get that kind of response so were we supposed to do a reboot of the iDrive after this kind of OTA upgrade? BTW, 50s in nearby OKC.

I just called the Genius, and they said that there is a programming recall available for my 50i, which I picked up on Saturday. FWIW I'm on 11/2018.43 (in iDrive). Not sure what specific "programming" is updated.

Did they tell you what was accomplished in terms of fixes, additional features, etc?

Just dropped mine off this morning. There's a few internal service campaigns on the X5, well mine anyway. One being there's a DSC programming bulletin. He said they're going to go ahead and update everything that has an update as well as any programming updates mandated by BMW. The software version it's currently running is 11/2018.23.
As a side note... they gave me a '19 540i as a loaner... it just feels so dated... can't wait to get my G05 back |

MNewman -
Let us know how it goes for you. It fixed my check engine light, but nuked all but two of my apps and did nothing to fix the many issues with iOS devices and USB music playback. No more Connected Drive, weather, etc. |

I've tried updating my Apps and even resetting iDrive (holding volume button down for 25+ seconds) but no luck on getting the Weather widget back on the App. I may have to call the dealership to find out but right now getting the Xpel wrap so I will be without my car for 2 days.
