BimmerUtility and Cheat Codes for aSLA & TLA

Hi all,

Did anybody try to enable Auto Speed Limit Assist (aSLA) and Traffic Light Assist (TLA) through the cheat code available in Bimmerutility.

currently speed assist works fine with all the options (adjust automatically, manually, show anticipation, etc..), However, the rest of the options are grayed out and can not be selected.

I noticed in the cheat code XML that it requires coding in 4 parts, I was able to locate 3 of them only. The first part (1/4) is missing. Not sure if that is intentional. So currently, I can see 'Consider traffic lights' but not selectable, same as 'Display traffic light phases'

Any thoughts on this is highly appreciated. Thanks.

Here is some background and screenshots.

2020 G06 fully loaded with 5AU, etc.., Using E-Sys 3.38.2, PSdZData lite V.4.35.21. I-step S18A-22-03-553.

Were you able to apply Traffic light assistant settings in Australia?

I tried to do enable these using esysX but couldn't enable them. Got error message that 'This setting is not enabled for your location

I have enabled the coding but TLA still does not work here as the Aus/NZ map database does not contain TLA location data which is a prerequisite for it to work. If you leave the "Consider Traffic Lights" box unticked the system will not show an error after the car is shut down and restarted.

I live in hope that with the advent of ID8 and more advanced navigation systems the map database will one day include it for all previous versions. Emergency Corridor option does not work either not sure why but probably the same reason as TLA.

UCC works well on the open road but not that great around town and has certainly saved me a few $$$ in speeding fines.

PS Anybody who wants my cheat sheet please PM me their email address so I can send them a copy

TLA not working with BimmerUtility

aSLA works fine using BimmerUtility (adjusting manually, not with "Cheat codes" option in BimmerUtility), however TLA does not work.
I have done all these (bellow in PDF)- but TLA still "not available in this country". Also - VIP ECU returns an error while coding.

Any ideas?

As mentioned above, TLA needs traffic lights data in maps database to work.

As for VIP ECU, you can't code it while engine is running.

Need to put car in diagnostic mode (press start button 3 times in quick succession without foot on the brake pedal). You will then see a message in your instrument cluster telling you when you are in diagnostic mode then code

For me everything works in my country (Slovenia) except UCC.
UCC is not working at all in Europe.
TLA works, but most time i need to press SET on red light.
On monday i was driving from Slovenia to Macedonia.
SLI must to be coded to work in Serbia and Macedonia (it is coded on my car)
So aSLA works in Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Macedonia.
Emergency corridor works in Slovenia and Croatia, even on border between those two countries.
In Serbia and Macedonia i get massage emergency corridor and TLA are not supported in those two countries. In Macedonia i saw traffic lights on map, but TLA doesn't work.
Even Stop and Yield sign detection are working in these 4 countries, but in Macedonia i don't get sound notification. I just get sign warning in speedo.

Sure, I put the car in diagnostic mode and coded aSLA successfully.
aSLA works perfect, car changes the speed according to driving conditions and signs.

However TLA coding according to BimmerUtility cheat codes does not give a positive result.

I believe the navigation system does have the traffic light information (I could code it half a year ago and saw the lights on the map), but after the BMW update it's gone.

as some user mentioned already - VIP module acts strange: you can code it successfully after some tries. Coding gave an error 3 times and 4th time coded successfully. Can't explain.

I did successfully TLA in previous software version - map showed traffic light icons etc and TLA worked fine except automatic stop (it just showed the light in HUD and cluter). After an update from BMW- of course coding is gone. So I believe the mapping data already has all the traffic lights info - but my code sheet was not accurate now.

Do you have copies of your old ncd files prior to update? If so use the NCD Compare option in BimmerUtility to check your coding.
It sounds like one of the land mask values might NOT be correct ie (FF,FF,FF,FF) or you have a syntax error in your FDL coding values. One minor syntax error is enough to prevent it from working

You need Driver Assist Professional (5AU)
Anybody wanting a copy of the Cheat sheet can down load it at the BimmerUtility Facebook Group Site

https://www.facebook.com/groups/1573...674/files/docs

Please note there are 2 codes specific to the G05 in the SAS3 & DSC_VIP

<function start="19" end="19" comment="IntRxSWINVarianten - Nr001 G05_G06_RxSWIN_neu" mask="11111111b">01</function>
<function start="17" end="17" comment="IntRxSWINVarianten - Nr001 G05_G06_RxSWIN_neu" mask="11111111b">01</function>

These 2 FDL settings above will differ if you are coding another G series model

Thanks Shaun.

Has anyone got ‘Highway Exit Assistant’ to come up on their Headunit/screen as an option?
Have done the coding but no joy, is the only one can’t get to come up.
