A finding on Driving assistance professional package
I was initially thinking that the driving professional package can be added anytime later, however, when watching a review, I suddenly noticed that not all steering wheels have that tiny LEDs. (see the attached pictures)
Seems to me that if someone chose not to have driving professional package then they won't be able to enable it later only by software updates. Does anyone know what else hardwares are different without DAP? (my order has DAP, just curious) Last edited by realdah; 05-09-2023 at 01:20 PM.. |

That is correct, you won't be able to add it without adding an additional camera, sensors, and coding.

Yeah, the hardware is significantly different. There is a radar sensor in the lower front bumper, and extra camera in the ConnectedDrive sensor cluster (upper windshield) and software changes, in addition to the buttons, lights etc. in the interior.

You should be able to add Adaptive cruise as a subscription but not the full DAP.
