New 2020 X5 Deal Pricing?
Some guidance please....
ORDERED: 2020 X5 xdrive 40i MSRP $73,270 36mo/10K Fort Laud, FL Expect delivery late Aug/early Sept. QUESTION: Fair Lease Price? (say $2-3K down) Any programs available? Expected discount (pre programs) for a 2020? Appreciate thoughts on FAIR pricing. |

Another resource I would recommend is the x5 forums on edmunds.com.
They have folks that can confirm the residual and money factor and other lease items. |

MSRP = $73,270
Sale Price you should shoot for = $65,940 10k Residual is 58% Base MF is .00145 Each MSD will lower that by .00005 7 MSD's is the max you can lay out. With full MSD's laid down, your MF should be .00110 You should be shooting for 10% off on an ordered vehicle, and happy at 9% or so if you don't have a shit experience with the dealership. Not contemplating tax, as it varies by state, at 10% off the MSRP and no markup on the MF rate, you should be at about $875 a month pre-tax on a zero drive off lease. Assuming that same 10%;Paying acquisition and dealership fees up front (Give or take $2,800 out of pocket including first month), you should be looking at a payment around $790 pre-tax. If you put 7 MSD's down, your MSD cost would be approx $5,600 (refundable in full to you at lease end), you should end around $765 pre-tax.

Very good informative post. For those who like to put money upfront to lower monthly payment, do not do that because in case your SAV get totaled you will lose your money.

Yes, you're correct on the $ down on a lease. The MSD's do not fall into that same scenario upon a total loss before term maturity - and the same should apply for the tax payment (state specific, of course). Meaning, if you elect to pay the tax up front, let's call it $3,600 on a 36 month term for simplicity - and the car is then deemed a total loss at month 4, whether accident/stolen/etc., - you are entitled to a refund of the balance, in this case 32 months, or $3,200. Yes, you may have to jump through hoops with the dealership, your insurance company, the state - but you're entitled to get it back. There's not much downside, IMO.

Should I be looking for 10% discount any a custom build or does it vary by state?
