Mine is now "waiting carrier assignment", it was in Quality Check for one day. But actually it better not get a carrier assignment since I'm scheduled to pick it up at the Performance Center in Spartanburg!

Mine is currently "At the port". Not sure what that means since it's just coming to California.

Do you remember when was your completion date?

I'm not exactly sure. It went from Production Begins to Awaiting Carrier Transport over night after 2 1/2 weeks of waiting.

Same here. Completion date was 08/30. Still shows at the port. And it's coming to California.

At the dealer. Multiple individual options, total time from order to delivery was 80 days. I believe there's a movie about circumnavigating the globe in that time....

One of mine is at the dealer (a couple of days), the other arriving either today or tomorrow, and both still show "Dispatched from Factory."

My X5 M50i arrived at the dealership on Friday. I had the winter wheels and snow tires installed. The lease on my 7 is up at the end of the month, so the new vehicle is sitting at the dealer's used car lot for a few weeks while I wait for the lease to end. Today I drove by the lot and stopped to look at the car -- it is beautiful! I may not miss my 7 as much as I supposed...

I contacted the dealer around the first week of August. By the end of the second week, around the 13th, an order was created and I believe placed. I signed papers and wrote a check on August 20th. I picked up the vehicle at the BMW Performance Center in SC on September 11th.

Once BMW receives the order at the factory in SC and the order is input and production begins, the process of building the vehicle from bare metal parts to driving out the door, takes 32 hours in total.

Obviously, if you are not picking up the car at the BMW Performance Center, delivery will take longer to have the vehicle shipped, prepped at the dealer, etc.

Hoping to have it in a week, am I being too hopeful?

If you're production week 40, i'm assuming your car is scheduled to be finished and dispatched by tomorrow. So you potentially could get it by next week.

I have a completion date of Oct. 11th, so hoping I get mine delivered the following week!
