Color code for dark grey trim

I have painted my rear diffuser to match the grey trim - Dark Shadow Metallic (B27)

I saw your post. Good move. Looks real nice on the M Sport. I have an x-line so I did the opposite. I had the lower bumper cover painted body color. The factory silver color is hideous IMO.

I agree. Mines a mineral white M-Sport and any light color against the dark grey looks horrendous. I don't know what BMW was thinking!! You have a beautiful looking car, congratulations!

How would you go about wrapping the front bumper trim? I was thinking of doing the same.

looks terrific. Can you describe how the slats were wrapped? Were they disassembled from the grille surround and then wrapped?

The whole grille is easy to take out, but it has three layers. I separated them before wrapping the slats. But I don't think it's necessary to take it apart. You can warp them directly on the car. It's just really quite tedious as there are so many small corners.

Thanks, Chris. I have replaced the grille a few times and it is easy to remove. I contacted a local vinyl wrapper and will most likely give him the grille to work on off the car.

I also have a Black Sapphire and I think the front looks better with a bit of chrome on the grille. I tried the black grille but wasn't happy with everything being one color. I personally think black looks best when it has some silver or chrome to offset it.

That rear looks 100x better now!
How did you get those wheel arches on X-Line?

Also, could someone please tell me if it's possible to wrap/tint the rear bumper trim instead of painting (it's lease so can't do permanent changes)?
I don't mind the front, but the rear, and the side slots look kind of out of place, I'd like to start with rear, is this possible?

I live in NYC and I am sure there are places who can do these things I but I have no clue where to start.

I bought M-Sport wheel arches and had them painted at a body shop. I have heard that it is possible to paint the x-line arches if you do not want to buy the new parts.

I am not sure how well the vinyl wrap will adhere to the rough black plastic parts. it will stick to the smooth plastic fine. I had the silver piece wrapped in satin black before i decided to paint it.

Wrapped bumper part, meaning only front? The front looks amazing, it's like dark chrome, how is it so shiny?

Anything done on rear bumper?
It looks really nice.

PS: I had just asked about those 20" wheels if anyone saw the black ones, I am not a fan of the matte chrome finish on the current one, I am not regretting not getting the cheap rims and buy 4 rims and replace them myself and put the old ones back before returning lease. Those rims look boss! I remember dealer once offered to powder coat the rims, but did he not realize it's lease.. Not sure I should ask him if dealer made changes are approved for lease return?

Does anyone know what the penalty is like for returning a lease with blacked out trim and wheels like the car above?

Find a shop that uses plasti-dip. It's really easy to peel it off at the end of your lease.

Amazing how big of a difference powdercoating the wheels made. Hated them before, actually quite like them now in gloss black.
