Was wondering if anyone has information on this.

I placed an order on my 2020 X5 M50i December 26th. The car is now complete and released to the carrier

Does anyone know if I can track my car on its way here? The company is 2600 Motor Car Auto Carriers

I'm not sure how to track directly but my CA was the best resource for me, he just emailed me today on his own , saying:

"Your X5 is moving fast. It’s built and just waiting for the next truck to bring it this way. I just spoke with the trucking company and they just received the paperwork this morning. They don’t have it officially scheduled, but she told me they have a truck leaving tomorrow it should be on. That would put it here late this week."

Sounds they have a way to check with the carriers. To me that is good enough and sooner than I expected overall. Hope that helps!

Haha that is so funny. I got an email stating the exams exact thing "moving fast".

Are you purchasing your car in Chicago?

How were you able to contact the trucking company?

I was not able to contact the carrier, my dealer was updating me from his convo with them (without me asking), so I have no clue how to do that. I live in Denver.

No problem. I just called a number I found online for the company and they connected me to someone that was able to provide me with more information.

He said it was picked up this morning at 7:30 A.M. and should be delivered by tomorrow afternoon

No manual yet.

I think the manual is live a day or so after it flips to “Awaiting Carrier Assignment” based on another thread. Looks like all three of our cars have the same production date start & completion date.

I’d guess we see movement in the online tracker sometime midweek.

Mdecoder is showing my VIN now with a 1/18 production date. Bmw automated number says production complete date of 1/31. My allocation opened up last Tuesday 1/14 which is when I got my production number. Things are moving fast

Nice! Looks like you should see movement in the tracker online this week too. Glad to see things are moving fast for you given the order mistake and allocation delays. Wait will be worth it though.

As of this morning I’m still in the “queue”. Waiting doesn’t get any easier as you get closer to completion.

Just got off the phone with BMW genius. He claims the site hasn’t updated since 1/10 however I have to assume he was only referring to my status (production begins) vs the entire site. He indicated he’s now showing my completion date of 1/23 vs 1/25 previously provided which could indicate were all moving up a few days. Hope springs eternal.

I think it might be the entire site. Mine still shows it’s stuck in Quality and neither the Genius or my CA could figure it out.

It was an odd call as genius couldn’t find any of my personal info. and appeared to be having difficulties with his computer and phone connections. Perhaps they work from home and log in. I did that for several years from South America into our Miami office. You have to love technology.

As long as the production line is humming along that’s all I care about.

Per the automated system, my estimated production completion date also moved up by 2 days from 1/27 to 1/25.

Just called and mine has been moved up to 1/24. Would guess overnight they jump in the status tracker online.

Wow. I ordered 12/13, received allocation in early Jan and today the genius let me know production begins Feb 2. Seems so much slower than many of you.

MyGarage (in which I have little confidence) still showing I’m in “queue”. Too early and embarrassed to phone genius for a daily update. Perhaps if I leave them alone they’ll focus on production.

Perhaps the genius is not a Duke basketball fan.

I believe the M50i has a longer wait between receiving allocation and actual production compared to the 40i, which is why some of us are moving a lot more quickly.
