X5 discounts in the UK

I am looking to order a factory build X5 soon and was wondering what sort of discounts off of list UK buyers have managed to achieve.

It is likely to be a 45e hybrid if that affects the response.

Thanks for any help that you can give.

Hi, I am looking at ordering the same as yourself here in the UK..

I have got around 14% off from my local dealer without trying, Carwow is offering 16% on a 3.0d so I suspect 15% is achievable on the 45e..

Let me know how you get on.

I will keep you updated but I agree 15% should be the starting point!

Off the list price, we got around 8.5k off our 45e. We then added our packs etc onto it, which brought the price back up

Canada prices are already discounted off USD denominated USD prices due to “currency” or “purchasing power” issues. UK prices perhaps have higher discount if they don’t receive currency/purchase power discount.

Of course it depends what the list price is, I am sure UK prices are much higher than USA/Canada list prices.

Perhaps. What is Base MSRP for X5/M50i in UK?

Assuming:
-UK and USA base components are similar
-FX .76203 GBP = $1 USD
-X5/M50i = $82,150 / £59,917

£59,917 / .76203 = $78,628 - $82,150 = $3,522 = 4.3% of USD MSRP.

I don’t recall similar discount we arrived at for Canada.

Please let me know of assumption or calculation errors.

I did a US build and calculate the difference.. that’s roughly 19-20% off MSRP then, looks like a rip off from dealer.

No, the lower price is passed along to Canadian customers in the form of lower MSRP vs similar vehicles to USA customers. In Canada it appears the discount %’age off of MSRP is less than in the USA however the price in Canada (in USD terms) is still less than in USA.

The reason is possibly due to BMW attempt to retain market share. If the vehicle was sold in Canada at the current exchange rate it would be significantly more expensive due to a strengthening of the USD vs the CAD, especially since 2014.

Thanks! That’s a great clarification. So I believe 6.5% is pretty good deal?

I‘m not familiar with offers in your specific market but perhaps others can assist us.

I’m sure many USA shoppers would like that deal.

Which dealer was that with?
I've literally only signed the order this week (june delivery).. so i'd like to push more discount.

What packs did you go with?

I opted for M Sport Plus, Visibility and Heat pack. Technology pack is already part of the deal

I just signed this week as well, Approx 18% discount on a 45e.

Tech pack (free as you said)
Vis pack
Drive assistant pack
Acoustic glass
Privacy glass
And few small bits

Plus the free wall charger

What colour combo have you gone with? I want the coffee interior but I can’t decide on the trim!

I went with the standard black vernasca upholstery and tetragon trim.

I'm feeling a little hard done by now.. only getting 8k.
I need to know these other dealers and the salesmans name so I can try my luck there too!!!

I am starting the negotiation process in Essex on a X5 MSport 30d. Best I can see online is Group 1 who are offering deposit contributions of circa £11900, so £12900 seems good. I am waiting for figures from the local Dealer to me but your info is helpful. I am looking at MSport Plus Pach, Tech Pack, Comfort Pack, Sky Lounge. I'll update as I start to get numbers

Very nice spec, I will go for Ivory, thinking about the Merino leather too. Compared both in showroom and Merino feels smoother and I believe is a higher quality
