Only sits in traffic from Fredericksburg to DC but thanks to express lanes that’s manageable. Richmond to Fredericksburg can get slow on occasion. South of Richmond is a racetrack.

As scheduled, vehicle progressed five blue check marks to Awaiting Carrier Assignment last night. Hope to pick up next week. Also, I can now access the Owners Manual’s.

Anyone know how many shifts the SC plant runs and days/week?

My CA just requested it and copied me on it...I was able to sort things around with my work trip last night so I was actually going to keep PCD. But its a busy time of year at work so I decided this morning to just cancel it...I can do PCD next time.

My car is now in "Quality Check"!

Sounds like prudent decision. Mygarage posting are delayed so could be awaiting carrier this evening.

My CA called to discuss dealership delivery process. Assured him I’m in no rush and to let me know when ready but don’t touch exterior other than removing protective film. AM is their slow time so I plan to pick up then.

Did he indicate when it might get to their dealership? February incentives may be better so you could hold off for that to check.

The PCD got back to my CA and said they need the formal cancellation in their system from the CA - so when he does it today, they receive it midnight the next business day. The PCD will cancel the car’s delivery to their center and re-route as Priority 1 Customer Sold to the dealer so it can be sent up here.

It makes me think I’ll be able to pick it up next weekend (hopefully).

Does anyone have any personal experience taking delivery of a custom order in February/March and do you recall if February rates/incentives are typically better than January. Similarly, are March rates/incentives typically better than February? I know myself and I know I'm going to want to take delivery of our car ASAP once it's at the dealer, but if there is a high chance the March rates/incentives will be significantly better than January or February (I locked in January, worst time), then it may be worth the wait. After all, March is end of 1st quarter. I appreciate anyone's input on this!

My CA is very cautious about making any delivery commitments (he has no control over delivery company, etc.). My best guess is arrives early next week, one day at dealership and I pick up Wednesday or Thursday.

Guys, call your SA right now and check if this applies to you. If it does, you just saved an extra $1,000 off your deal

Congrats! Post a few pictures when you can.
Thank you!

I got a few pics in from the dealership and on my way home. Kind of sad that I couldn't keep the car clean, it's snowing here in Chicago.

Looking real good (I have same exact exterior look, mine was delivered to dealership last week but I'm holding off delivery to February to avoid driving those 22s this winter season).

I spent a few minutes going back through the Pricing thread to this time last year. Since I financed, I looked specifically at the APR incentive and it stayed the same for MY2019 in March as February. Not sure about the lease rates/residual but maybe look back through that thread.

Of course, every year is different but it could give you an idea of time of year changes to incentives.

Last year rates were crap with high MF rate, limited incentives. People forget that the 2019 G05 was released in late Sep 2018.

Here's the historical MF and residuals for year model 2019 and 2020 X5s:

This is fantastic, thank you so much! You're right though, the G05 is pretty new and there isn't too much history to go on. Just want to gauge whether I should pull the trigger in February vs. March since I have the option of both.
