I don't think any Hyundai can do what the X5 cameras can do.

We have a week 41 build (this week), I haven’t heard anything from our CA regarding supply issues. Did this only effect later week builds??

I think I found out what option 778 is. On other BMW models it is "Door sills with BMW Individual lettering". So it looks like the door sills will change if you get the Individual Merino leather but NOT with the M-Sport package. I believe the M-Sport gets its own door sills.

I read some good things about it in an X3 thread so I just added it to my week 43 build today.
Is your build not already in status 150?

Not yet. I suspect it will go 150 pretty soon. I went from week 45 to 44 and now 43 on a 50i build. I guess acoustic glass didn't effect the build week even though it was SOP 11/18. I asked my CA and BMW Genius and they both confirmed week 43 even after I added the option. Anyone else have a week 43 that is already 150?

I'm on the fence about this upgrade too. What I want to do is sit in two cars, one with HK and the other BW and play a playlist and see if I can tell the difference. If I can, then gauge if that difference is worth the $3300 premium.

I wouldn't consider myself a HiFi guy, but I do appreciate the nuances in music and I can tell the difference between songs played in my car vs my home stereo.
I think what you need to ask yourself is HOW BIG of a difference justifies a $3300 upgrade. There will be a difference, but might not justify the upgrade cost.

Ok so a few quick takes before bed. Got to see the X7 50i Msport, the M850i convertible, a few individual pieces like a M3 CS Frozen Blue and my area rep happened to have one of only 17 currently produce X5 50i Msport models with almost all the options (no B&W), in carbon black with a white smoke color interior. I am just going to spout a bit about the night. The M850i I will defer to another post other than to say the center console and IP are amazing. The seats are great and the back seat is just as bad as my previous M6,

The X7 has huge rear doors, captains chairs in the middle and all the seat movement including folding are power. The materials are clearly better than the X5 and the carpet is softer and much more leather on everything including the rear hatch, the interior space sadly is not much larger than a X5 with the third row and when the third row is up, the space in the rear is essentially terrible, maybe 2-3 inches deeper than my old X5 with the third row. Its basically a X5.5 with much nicer materials and options.

The new X5 IP and electronics is great, the materials very similar to the current model. Startup is quiet and the V8 is quite muted. The start button is now in the center console. The IP is truly an upgrade and amazing, exactly the same as the M850i and the X7 ditto for the center screen and iDrive. The glass controls are nice and move the X5 more upscale. When he stops by my dealership I should get a chance to drive it. Interior space is basically identical to the previous model and the only notable difference is the lower hatch is now power like the X7. Appearance wise it is clean and chunkier in the rear, more square but it works. Definitely better looking than the X3 model in the back. Feel free to ask me questions, I have to cut this short since zi have early surgery in the am.

Peace,
Noushy

And that's the million dollar question. What would it be in my mind to justify the cost? I don't know if I can answer that. If it's a night and day difference, that would make it easy. From what I'm reading, it almost seems like if there's any discernible difference, especially in the format I'll be listening to, it will most likely just be in my head since I won't be listening to "lossless" music. Spotify streams at 160 to 340 bits/s and I think lossless is like 1040+ bits/s.

Congrats on the status change and nearing completion!

My build is scheduled for week 44, but has not yet changed to status 150. Hoping I'm not too far behind.

Cheers.

It's been 2 months since I put the order in so at this point I'm not too worried about a week or two. Based on what I've seen here and elsewhere, it looks like the 40i had priority to some extent which makes sense because they probably sell 10 40is for every 50i.

This will turn into the same discussion as in the F15 with the HK vs the BO. Fingers crossed the BW will be better than the BO but it's not gonna change the argument. Some will think it's worth it and some so won't. Some will think it's crazy better and some will think it's just better only at higher volumes. Either way if you're the type to want to spend $3300 on speakers then you're gonna do it regardless. Lol. If you're not the type then you won't and spend it elsewhere. For me I'd rather have DHP over any fancy name brand speakers if I had to choose. If I didn't then of course I'd get both! Lol cuz why not.

There was a BMW bulletin on 10/2 that stated the shortages to the cameras. The shortages are expected to last through 2018.

It pushed mine from week 44 to week 46 (11/11-11/17) when Parking Assistant Plus got added on 10/3. Not overly concerned unless it it delayed further.

Fingers crossed.

My CA just confirmed this as well. Bummer for those (me) who wants the third row strictly for the adjustability of the 2nd row plus the air suspension.

Does 2nd row "adjustability" add any 2nd row legroom? Or only adjust within the legroom already there, or recline?

I could be wrong but I don't think having the 3rd row allows for adjustable 2nd row for this model like it does on the F15. I believe this was pointed out in another thread.

I'm not sure about additional leg room, but I was fairly certain that having a 3rd row allows the 2nd row seats to move forward/back plus recline. If there's been more up to date info on that, I'd like to know too so people can figure out their builds.

I think what has been said is that the 3rd row allows the 2nd row to move forward for access to the 3rd row not for "comfort" of the second row. I don't believe you can slide the 2nd row forward and back to increase legroom.
