I have two under my "Garage" one with target production complete date of 3/5 which is now waiting for carrier to be assigned. Another one with 3/7 completion thats in QC (see photos)

48 hours after dispatch and my G04 has moved 404 miles. That's 8.4mph average. Starting to think it's on a donkey and not a train

Can you track it real time? I thought you just know when its dispatched and when it arrives at dealer and nothing in between.

Can you track it real time? I thought you just know when its dispatched and when it arrives at dealer and nothing in between.

My dealer sent me a screen grab of the rail car info and I have access to CN Rail info at work so I can see the GPS location of the car it's in.

I think mine was in for about a week. Takes time on some builds it seems like. One theory is that some items are added during the quality check stage and not on the regular assembly line stage. Not sure if that is a valid theory or not.

I have two X5s under my garage. The other one was only 1day in QC and quickly became dispatched but this latest one taking forever. Was supposed to finish production yesterday. My lease is up on March 18 so I am hoping I can have it at my NJ dealer before then

I would think you should make it unless something weird happens. You may want to check with your CA. Mine went to Awaiting Dispatch and was in there for about a week and it turned out that it was in transit most of that time and the online system didn't update. A few days later is went ahead of what actually happened and said it was at the dealer but it took another four days to get there.

I saw your post about having two in your garage, that is odd. You may want to give Genius a call and see if they can figure out which one is really yours and remove the other.

Thats promising

The reason I have two under my garage is when I placed the order I got the production number at dealership which went into "production begins" a day later. I wanted to add another option so the dealer gave me a new production number (2nd one in my garage). I suspect they are keeping the first order for the dealer and selling the 2nd one to me.

About 5 days but once assembly starts it should be in QC in less than 2 days.

The website is not current. Mine arrived at the dealer but the website showed in transit for several days after arrival.

I've seen on Bimmerpost that from Europe to USA you can follow almost everything (also the ship).

Do you think is it possible also for cars direcedet from Spartanburg to Germany?

I don't know if any of this information could help or not but here is something that was written up years to for tracking to the UK. I only did a quick search so there may be other posts that are more relevant. Maybe want to do some searches and see I anything pops up.

Do you guys know how long it takes from "factory dispatch" to having the car at dealer in NJ? My dealer is 600 miles away from Spartanburg factory (so ~10hrs drive). Does it still have to go through the "at the port" step?
