It's been almost a week since I posted this.

3 weeks since I ordered and paid for the car in full.

Still nothing.

Still no update.

Has ANYONE ever had to wait this long? I don't even know what my production week is.

What is the issue with getting production number?

They may be holding off on the production number until they can track down those mythical wrinkle-less seats.

From some of the posts I read in the past I would say you have nothing to worry about yet. It seems some European orders do not follow the timeframes of US/Canada.

So I received a response.... apparently BMW military sales has to wait until the last day of the month to get production slots.

So.... Oct 31st I'm supposed to find something out.

Fingers crossed.

Ordered my X5 M50i about 7 weeks ago. Still has not entered production per the online tracker on bmw website. I just emailed the dealer manager to see if his system can see a production date estimate. Originally he thought I would have the car last week of October or first Week of November. Those don't seem likely now since the car has not even begun production.

My car was fully loaded with every option except rear seat entertainment so not sure if full merino or some other option slowing things down here. I did Black Azurite so not a crazy Individual color paint either.

Waiting to hear back from dealer if they have a status. If it takes too long I could always pull the order and just wait for the X5M at this point

You could call the genius line and give them your production number. From that they will tell you which build week your allocation has. That will give you a fair estimate on when the car will be done.

Thanks for that info. Will hang onto that!

My dealer actually emailed me right back and said production is scheduled for the beginning of November so hopefully in the next 10 days or so I see a shift in the online tracker there!

You just have to wait, it will arrive eventually.

I put my deposit for a 2020 almost 3 weeks ago and the status is still order received. I am impatiently waiting..... it will be here eventually!!!

The longest period is "order accepted" and "started production"
Once its actually being built then within 3 days itll be in quality control and a few days from there itll be at the dealer

Called the Genius hotline and they couldn't provide any information on a build week.

I just tried calling that number to check on my order since the web seems to be delayed. She stated they lost the ability to look up orders back in May. Our options are talk to dealer, use the web OR use the automated phone line.

I just called last night and spoke with a customer rep and they were able to give me all the details. Strange...

What option did you pick? I didn't pick one and just stayed on the line since Option 1 takes you to the automated system.

I select 1, then stayed on the line, enter/say production number, then the automative system gives you your update, but then you can say customer relations - then a genius will answer and should be able to give you a status code and estimated production week.

I'm sitting at status 112, with a week 50 production week. I hope it get's moved up, but I know that's foolishly optimistic.

What’s the automated phone line #? Is it the same?

Mine finally moved status a bit! Changed from last night to this status this morning. I need this car now. I have no patience. I'd make a terrible doctor.

PRODUCTION BEGINS
Today's the day: your BMW has entered the production queue.

Mid-september. I think I am around 6-7 weeks out right now. Mine was an X5 M50i fully loaded though with full leather and piano black trim so not sure if any of those "individual" options pushed me back a couple weeks. I'm hoping this thing shows enroute within the next 7 days. I'm in NJ so can take anywhere from 1 day to a week to get here from Spartanburg depending on how the completion time aligns with the transport vehicle.

Good to know. I ordered probably a week after you fully loaded M50. Hoping to see it switch next week. cheers

Ok.... the dealer came through as promised. Week 49 is the magical date.

There "may be" some delays over the xmas holiday.... but it's been confirmed that I should be taking ownership in late January.

This time they were able to help, however, it was the same info as the automated system.
