So technically you're getting 13.5% ($10,421.19) off or an additional 3.5% ($2682) compared to 10% ($7739) discount.

Adding in $2K incentives inflates it to 16%.

If it's a custom order, you get a paperwork right after finalizing the deal. Build sheet, production order number, MSRP, negotiated price and more.
Do you at least have the build sheet? Vehicle build date has nothing to do with your initial paperwork. There's a reason it's hard to believe your deal. Except your posts, there's nothing concrete here. Dealers don't have to sell you a 2020 at a steep discount. Good luck doing what you're doing but this forum is not a race of some kind. We share and learn!

Thanks for posting the worksheet. I wonder if the site admin can make that a requirement.

Guys don’t believe this troll.
This isn’t a official BMW worksheet or the paperwork you get IMMEDIATELY after placing an order for a custom build.
Read his past posts in previous threads.
He went from being clueless on leasing a BMW to having the best deal ever heard of in the history of this forum .
This guy is completely trolling everyone.
I will never believe anyone will get 16% off a brand new 2020 X5 custom order . It will not happen .

to be fair, maybe he's getting the rest of the worksheet later on? I also thought that you get an allocation unit when you custom order, like that piece of paper with the columns that lists all the options you want on yours? who knows, i'm new to this myself

I can’t wait to prove you wrong and you come back here and apologize to me in front of everyone for being so rude. I don’t know what else to post, this is all the dealership gave me. The build goes into effect Tues/We’d like I said above. I’ll gladly post every piece of paper they hand me.

Usually a dealer will have you sign your John Hancock on the system dealer order sheet listing options with MSRP and an order purchase agreement locking in your order, agreed discount, and order deposit. You'll get a copy of the above plus a deposit receipt if there's any deposits made.

Selling Price 64,973.81/MSRP 77,395 = 16.05% off in total, it’s still 16.05% off either way you look at it right? Whether it be with rebates and or discounts etc. it’s still 16.05% off on my overall deal.

Hopefully I do this on Tues/Wed when my car gets a build number?

They are starting the build Tues/Wed I was told today. I’m assuming I’ll get more paperwork after. I’ll post everything I get.

Sure I get it but all buyers are entitled to BMW rebates and incentives available. Example, If you finance and lump in the $2K finance credit, you're getting more incentives and inflating the discount compared to someone who's leasing where there's low to no lease incentives, which why it's recommended that exclude it from the total to get a correct evaluation of what your real discount is.

You can continue to say you got 16% off - sounds great but that's not indicative of the deal you negotiated with your dealer which is 13.5%.

I am leasing. 36/7,500

Also, I don’t know why it says 2k in rebates the only “rebate” I have is 1250 loyalty credit.

how did you get 36/7500? I wanted this and multiple online sites and dealers said its only reserved for the 7 and m8 series cars and stuff like that. We don't drive it that often and 7500 would have been perfect

Yep I recall you were interested in a 36/7500 lease from our PMs back on Dec 4.

There's a loyalty credit of $1250. Perhaps there's a regional lease credit of $750, which is why not all discounts are created equal.

As usual, Auricom is right.

I placed two factory orders in July. I left the dealer with copies of the purchase agreements which of course includes all of the pricing, discounts, incentives, etc, as well as my build sheets for both vehicles. I also filled out my lease paperwork with BMWFS at that time. The pre-approval portion is an important part because your credit will put you in a financing tier that affects your money factor. But it also locks in your rate for 60-90 days which is a big deal especially for a custom order.

The dealer sounds legit but giving you a quote sheet doesn't guarantee anything at the end of the day so just be careful and double check all of the numbers. It sounds like they're altering an existing allocation and have no worries about selling your desired build should you back out. I surmise that based on them not asking for a deposit. I would think they'd already have a production number to give to you but perhaps they're holding off on that until they actually go in there and change the build.

You're going to love the car!

Also, $799 for a doc fee? Isn't that kind of high? I know it varies from state to state but wow I don't think I've ever paid more than $200 - $300 if that much. But I guess with a discount like that, one can't complain...

I asked if they had anything less than 10k, my wife barely drives.. from Whole Foods and back. I would have done 5k if I could.

The BMW website does show a $750 lease credit in the southeast currently on the 2020x5.

Ahh now I see. Okay so that’s where the 2k “rebate” is (1250 loyalty and 750 lease credit). So mathematically if we subtract the 2k in rebates I negotiated on my own (which is somehow what everyone wants to use as the final number) 66,973.81/77395= 13.47% off on my own accord. But in reality that 2k is still taken off no matter where it came from for 16"05% OVERALL discount total on my deal. I could have said “don’t do any rebates” and take off 2k from my “negotiations” and somehow that would have made a difference to everyone? 16% off is 16% off in total anyway you look at it, who cares what form it’s in right?
