I am wondering did anyone in the forum fixed the whistling noise (through windshield) issue through the dealer. If so please post the invoice what they fixed, will be helpful for others

Issue: Dirve about 80MPH you will hear whistle noise through front dashboard ,i can't figure out where its coming from. In the other thread says its coming through the windshield.

I hit >160 and no whistle noise at all. I will post the dealership log file what it fixed.

I think I may be too late. I also suffer from this issue when I first picked up my car, dealer cannot found any solution but I end up fixed it by myself.

All you need to do is to check the cover on both side of your windshield and make sure it pushed in and installed properly.

The sound is actually coming from the gap of those 2 covers where the installation of both did not push all the way in.

Hope this help everyone who having the same issue.

Odd suggestion but try tapping the little plastic cap under the side mirror. I had this issue but mainly with windows rolled down(acoustic glass) and noticed the little cap was just ever so slightly out of place. Fixed my problem.

Foreman shown me where they fixed ,it was under the hood some plastic thing between the panel and engine. i am waiting for the service log from SA ,hopefully i will get it on Tuesday.

A bit late to the party....new to the forums. Thanks for the video, I have rummaged through the "Wind Noise and Whistling at Highway Speeds" threads but none of the posted videos had a noise similar to mine. Yours sounds exactly like mine with one exception....location. Mine really sounds like it's coming from the a pillar but we all know how deceiving these sound can be. I've gone around checking seals / trims etc. looking for anything suspect with no resolution. I look forward to your post from the dealer.

I am scared of my dealer hence why I haven't gone yet, 3 new BMWs from them...2 went in for warranty service and ended up at the body shop

i agree with you.It's very tricky to diagnose and i am glad they figured it out.

I always have the feeling the noise is coming through the middle a/c vent sometimes i feel it comes from the left window seal or pillar.

Sure, i will post the service log soon when i get it from the dealer

Thanks Usher9387. Did you ever post the picture? I'm dealing with the same thing on mine and my dealership is struggling. They actually want to replace my windshield which I told them not to until I decide what I want to do.
