45e order details
Looking to order pretty soon and have couple questions:
1. The only advantage of executive package to me is Laser lights but is this feature worth 2k? 2 Is wireless android auto included in 2021 models? 3. What is regular headliner if I don't order Alkantara one? 4. Is display key available on 2021 x5 45e? Thanks |

1. For extra 2300, you are getting laser light, glass control and window shades and LED roof. The first 3 used to be ~1900 for standalone options, and if I can choose, I would skip the LED roof and just pay these options. But BMW forced to bundle together , so I have no choice. Would LED roof worth 400? I'm not sure. But you simply can't order laser light without executive in US.
2 Only Apple car play. Don't see android. 4 Display key not available in US |

If I could do it over I would Still want the lasers. Looks > function Led roof is nice for the kids and passengers. You don't see it your self when driving. It is just a gimmick for me. A normal panoramic would be fine. Glass controls are nice. Changes the look in a positive way (for me, personal). The kids used the sun blinds a lot during the summer holiday. So basically it is more about the looks (laser, glass, roof) than functionality. Up to you if it is worth $ 2300. |

Android is available for vehicles built 8/20 and beyond (and is the US default according to the ordering guide)

I also have the manual sun blinds for the rear passengers. In the summer it was good to have both in very hot weather. |

And is "all rear glass tinted" what "privacy glass" means in the standard features? In Europe, all the rear glass is clearly able to be tinted: That said, in the US it's not an option at least in the configuator - here's a fully spec'd x-line (and ZMP / m-sport pkg doesn't list tinted windows) - is this all the windows tinted by default? Here's the interior view where you can see the shades: The answer would seem to be that in the US, for the 45e at least, "privacy glass" means all rear glass is tinted and the shades are an ala carte option and/or in ZPX / the executive package.

417 Rear manual side window shades are a standalone option or included with ZPX Executive Package. Here's a 45e with Executive Package shaking the privacy glass and rear manual side window shades.

Yes, it's always has been that way for USA X models with privacy glass. I've had rear window shades since the E53 and they're functionally not intended for privacy (they're perforated to assist driver visibility but they do add a little bit more privacy) but additional sun light diffusion and reduction.

Now that the sun is less hot and bright in Belgium they don't use it anymore. It makes sense to have both anyway if you have kids in the back. |

Thanks all for advises. Placed an order for arctic grey/tartufo combo, executive package and all electronics. Total MSRP 82.5.
Saved $ going with no color brake pads, lol. Order was accepted so will see now how quickly we may get a car. |

ZMP pricing includes ZCV Convenience Package $800. ZPX Executive Package in combination with ZMP - $4050 ZPX includes ZPP Premium Package $2550 ($1750 with ZMP) So think of it this way ZPX $4850 minus ZCV $800 = $4050 + ZMP $5500 ZPX ZMP

I see. People are comparing between premium and executive. That makes sense.
I was also wondering if it is worthy to get the sun shade in US since we already have the privacy glass (I assume it will reduce the heat and glare too). I often heard that kid will often break it so I am kind of hesitant to order it. |
