Same car as before still 140miles away but i made it clear this was my last offer. My money can go to another dealer. They waited two days then the GM emailed me and said that this was the lowest he has ever let one go for but if I wanted it. He would consider it SOLD

Incredible deal. That is 12% plus $4250 in incentives. Congrats to you. I haven’t seen anything better than 12% plus incentives anywhere for a 2020 X5 so I think you’re at the max. Feel free to correct me if anyone else has beat this elsewhere on the forum.

yes its a great deal but I'm getting killed on my trade of my 2019 RS5 I have have better offers by 3k for my car but then the best I could find % wise for the same exact X5M50i was 8% + 4250 so if you think about it yes it was a very good price it kind of even's out because of my trade.

4% comes out to $3800 extra so it's almost a wash. I am getting 2.99% to finance the car but I guess that is the rate right now nothing special about that.

I did get another offer non BMW but a 2018 MB E63S wagon CPO car 300 miles on it never been tiltled they want 96K they won't move on price but they offered me 7K more than the BMW dealer.
In the end it would cost me $9500 to do that deal even with the deal I got with BMW. I considered it but itis a 2018 vs a 2020??

With this kind of deal - lease BMW M50 - payments will be great. You can decide to buy it later in 3 years.

As fro Audi - sell it privately. Do not trade it in with BMW

Fun, the significant reduction on the Audi didn’t just happen. It happened as soon as you drove it off the lot. You just don’t have to face that fact until now when you sell it. And it will happen again as soon as you drive that new vehicle off the lot.

Don’t worry about the Audi loss. Just try to minimize the loss by getting as much for it as possible. As another member mentions above, try selling on your own. Your sure to get several thousand more in a private sale. Dealers incur cost to inspect/certify trade-ins and sales commission are paid.

Good luck with both transactions.

Hey how are you. I have done my research on selling it on my own and the way i see it I can't get more than 72K if i'm lucky. They are discounting new ones 8-10 % so this puts me in a bad senerio.
if i trade then i make up about $4500 because of the tax incentive.

I'am waiting for the GM from where I purchased it to see what he would offer but for me selling myself yesterday 5 places emailed me all were like 66K that's not very good so better off trading so I think thats what will happen. The lease on this new one would be 980 a month 7500 miles a yr no money down. i don't really like to lease but i'm thinking on it.

Awesome.. that is great. I am right behind you in terms of my negotiations/discussions with dealers here in AZ. This is kinda inspiration for me as I am working my discussions.

I was following this post regularly since I am currently 4 months to close my current X3 lease and 3 dealers are giving me offers to upgrade by saying they may absorb my 2-3months lease payments. I just didnt know I could negotiate a %off on MSRP.

I did a custom build - X5 xDrive40i Xline, Exec package, Drive Assist Pro, Lux seating package, Tow, Glass controls, Acoustic Windows, HK system coming to $78K including leather and rims upgrades.

Right now this is the tops I have seen :
1. $5,353 toward new vehicle which is $2,750 BMW Loyalty Credit and a $2,600 Preferred Customer Bonus.
2. Waive off of $350 desposition fee
Loyalty credit is not from dealer, so I wont let him take credit of that. Is the 2600 what you all call as dealer incentives?

What I learnt from this thread is that I can negotiate a %off on MSRP before any of above comes in. Thanks to you all.
I dont have much leverage so looks like I may have to start with 8% ask and see how it sticks.
But any other opinions? Thanks @Fundamentals for your input.
I am looking at closing the deal over the weekend.

I find it odd that so many discounts are given on ordered vehicles when I was told by my local dealer they don't discount special ordered cars only ones off the lot. I also know they have very little slots / allotments of M50is so I can see where they'd prefer to hold out for max profit. But I'll be the first to say that anyone getting a deep discount on special order M50i is pretty lucky.

How much discount are they offering on a vehicle on their lot?

Appreciate any feedback
What incentives? I didn't negotiate all that well but the dealer liked that I'm a sucker so he went out of his way to find some discount codes BMW was running at that point and also recommended I Atleast get 8k in finance so I get that discount for financing. I feel like you are getting less in incentives but I had $1250 loyalty discount, had to show proof.

Also resist the urge to get the car in the lot just because you love it or impulse. I'll be an hypocrite for giving you that advice because I almost found THE perfect car sitting in the lot but it had summer performance tires. I overlooked how impossible it cost/time forbidding is find all season wheel/tires. I end up not taking my G05 to the snow this year. So try to not make any compromise because you found something that's "closer" to what you are looking for.

Barely anything. We live on an island with one dealer. That's it.

A captive audience. Accept the fact that your vehicle will cost about 12% more than if you lived in some large mainland city as you look out on the ocean with palm tress swaying in the wind. I believe we have many on this forum that would happily trade places with you. Enjoy.

I am meeting 3 dealers tomorrow over the day and see how they price match.
I would have been an idiot tomorrow if I hadn't read this thread today.
Very helpful.

Just negotiated a m50i in Quebec, Canada today. MSRP CAD $102k, discount only $5k. So about 5% only.

On the other hand, if I factor in exchange rate, then it doesn't look too bad comparing to South of the boarder.

I did 6.8% in BC and I know the owner so you did quite well.

Did you see the $1000 BMW credit available? There are several dealers in your area that are participating. Offer expires Saturday, 1/25.
