Question Active Lane Keep Assist is too sensitive!

One of my major complaints is the active lane keep assist is way too sensitive. Aside from turning the system off, is there any way to tone it down? The steering assist aggressively pulls me back in the center of the lane... even while I'm still within the lines! Is anyone else experiencing this? Often when I try to avoid potholes and road debris along with uneven road pavement this system is totally unforgiving. Also, I like to purposely give extra room if another vehicle is passing me but again, I get the steering pull back and multiple warnings on the screen. If I can somehow set the level of assistance that would be great. Thanks in advance for your replies.

You can set the sensitivity of it in the menu.

Are you referring to your '21 X6? I believe you can choose between three different sensitivity levels in iDrive, I'm not at my car right now to verify but take a look.

Can you kindly help me to navigate to the menu? I searched for the sensitivity setting but could not locate it. Thanks!

I can't, not at my car now and I have a contractor at the house but just take a look at that feature in your user manual and it will explain it. Alternately you can view your user manual online by plugging in your VIN on the BMW online manual site.. .. https://www.bmwusa.com/owners-manuals.html

Setting it to Early should work best for you. It sounds like it is the opposite but gives the softest steering intervention since it is not waiting until the vehicle is crossing the line. It can easily be counteracted by hold/turning the wheel.

TurtleBoy, where were you when we needed you earlier? I have mine set to early and it works well, just like you said, its subtle and easy to manually overcome it but does the job.

Had an early breakfast engagement, sometime life gets in the way of my forum addiction.
