I have a very similarly equipped 2020 X5 x drive 40i, mine has 26k miles and sticker was very close at 75k. My payoff is 49k and all the local dealers are offering me 56k, so around 7k equity. I'm putting this all out there as it's absurd that anyone can be this greedy, especially on a forum of fellow BMW enthusiasts. Also, most dealers are finally getting allocations, particularly 40i models, so you could literally build a brand new one for similar price or even less. Asking MSRP for a two year old used car with 25k miles, is just greedy and the member should be ashamed of themselves.

The market is crazy right now but values are starting to drop. If you have a $67k trade offer I would take that right away before they reconsider. My local dealer has one similar to yours but less miles isted as a CPO for $64k (retail) for what it's worth.

The 2020 are much more desirable than new ones because of all the features that have been removed. Plus there is a huge wait list on new cars. Maybe the OP should give it away so Luminor513 doesn't think he is greedy online? LOL |

Everyone who has half a brain has noticed the current market conditions, not just in used cars, but real estate and many other markets as well. The problem is when people take a sellers market and exploit the situation to levels that are WAY beyond "hot market" and just put stupid numbers out there like asking NEW MSRP on cars that are 2 years old and have 25k miles on them on a forum full of BMW enthusiasts. It's insulting, it's ridiculous, it's greed mixed with a big dose of stupidity. Also not sure what wait list your referring to, particularly when discussing the 40i models. Yes there can be a wait for M50i models and certainly for full M models, but for the 40i models, there is no issue getting new ones. And if you take a closer look at the OP's window sticker, you can get almost everything he has on his X5 minus the air suspension, on a brand new 22 X5. Hey listen, I have a 2020 X5, I'll sell it to you for 100k! It's a great deal! Sorry it's just a hot market and I'm just adjusting the price based on current market conditions. Does that sound about right to you? I don't think so buddy.

If someone is willing to pay 100k for your car and you accept it, does it make you greedy? If you sell it for 50k instead, what does that make you? This logic makes no sense at all. It's the simplest, truest principle of economics. What is something WORTH? Answer: What someone else is willing to pay for it. End of story. If the seller has it priced too high, it won't sell. End of story. There is no such thing as greed, just supply and demand. Clearly the OP has another dealer that will pay as much for the car as he is asking here. So your complaint about being insulted doesn't make any sense. This applies to any item in the market place. Anyone is free to set their listing price to whatever they want. The fact that you consider it greedy or insulting or exploitative has no bearing on whether it will sell or not. I mean this is econ 101 stuff. |

Its better not to be acitic towards members here.He posted based on the market conditions.Nothing wrong in that ..interested can negotiate..of course people here will definitely consider for fellow members...if dealer coat is 67K definitely dealer will sell it for more than that..if any one interested they can ask for dealer price. We are seeing online prices and sales are happening too.
