I notice that the headlights have less brightwork in them than the 22 and 21's, otherwise everything seems exactly the same.

Hit up your SA, they might be able to get you samples. The one at arrowhead BMW actually has a huge wall of colors, different from most of the others I've seen because of the scope and scale.

They say "HRE" in the center.

No, but I got the exact finish I wanted and they are forged. They're pretty light for 21/22 wheels. I actually still have my 818 set, I let a friend drive it ONE TIME and he curbed the wheel .

Perhaps I should sell them

Unlike the other wheels that come on the X5M, the 818M wheels are also forged.

How does one go abour ordering a new individual special paint. Seems like you need to vist a dealer as it does not appear you can slect this option online?

These are the best looking wheels that I have seen on the X5M. And that is coming from someone who generally frowns upon non-OEM wheels for BMWs. Pains me to say that but it's true.
