Where are we ar for M60i Exhaust options?

My wife recently got a 2024 X5 M60i and the V8 exhaust note is extremely underwhelming.

Browsing this forum the only thing that seems promising is Valvetronic but they have yet to release sound clips.

Speaking on Valvetronic, how are they exhausts in terms of BMW warranty?

I emailed Dinan and they said they are working on one for the M60i, but nothing yet.

Has anyone found a solution to get a good V8 growl?

Shocked the vehicle doesnt come from factory with a good valve system.

In terms of cat-backs, here is what I have found:
  • GCA
  • Valvetronic
  • Dahler
  • IRL
  • A few on Aliexpress that look identical to some on this list.
  • Meisterschaft
  • Supersprint

I have secondary catless downpipes with everything else stock. There is definitely more noise under throttle, but outside the car, no changes. I plan on replacing the stock resonated x pipe for a non res x pipe and see if I can get more volume that way without having to do the whole catback.

Thanks for your reply.

I think that is her biggest compliant, lack of v8 exhaust note from the exterior of the vehicle.

i also just did secondary catless downpipe with dahler exhaust flap control module. Yes, there is more sound... but more of the same. Definitely NO V8 sound. I don't think this thing will ever sound like my 6.4L V8 hemi. Shame really, such a waste. locally i only have the option of fitting the dahler axle back exhaust but my understanding is that requires cutting out parts of the plastic bumper and losing the metallic exhaust surrounds in the bumper with no chance of putting it back to stock once the modification is done. I am really not into that. If anyone has had success in finding a true V8 note to this vehicle i would love to know.
