Just heard from my dealer that all custom colors are discontinued for new builds of the 45e and only 5 colors are available. Has anyone else heard this? We put the deposit down 2 months ago and I was really excited about the British racing green. I don’t want to be shuffled into a standard color I don’t like as much unless that’s that’s really the final word on custom colors. I appreciate your advice!

Welcome to the forum. Makes sense since the 45e is coming to end of production. There probably is not enough open slots available to handle the custom colors since that cuts down on the standard color production more than one to one.

Edit: If you don't need one right away and are not opposed to iD8, you might as well just wait for the 50e and get an Individual color.

There are some good changes but some folks bought the 45e to avoid it and the iD8 interior. There are many threads that have some details and the official reveal will be in a day or so.

Some highlights are:
- Electric motor increased to 200hp
- Battery Capacity increased
- Slight increase in range
- Charging up to 7.4kW

No more individual colors/options on builds until 24MY. That is from BMW. They are telling you the truth

Probably not. Did you get a production number? Timing all depends on allocations. Many dealers didn't have any so they took waiting lists. Also keep in mind he was trying to get an Individual color which could take six months or so.

2024 MY is also going to come with a price increase. So if you are price sensitive factor that in too.
