Took delivery of my 45e today. Mineral Metallic White/Cognac interior. My Garage was stuck in dispatched from factory for a week. CA called and said "Good news your X5 is here"

Only complaint is the Fineline Highgloss Wood Trim. I had it in my 540i but in the X5 I would prefer a matte trim. Did not like the only matte option available for the X5 at the time of order against the cognac interior but now I am thinking about replacing it. Will see how much it will cost to order and replace the trim this weekend. If someone in the Orlando area is/has been considering the same thing let me know...maybe we can trade.

Finally had some movement on mine today. Went from production begins to entering assembly line overnight. Getting closer.

It went to status 150 (Production Begins) on 1/20, so a little less than 2 weeks.

I really like the trim color. Almost every car I have seen was with "fine line stripe brown high gloss wood". I ordered a different trim for exclusivity and I am happy I did.

This is my first bmw so I am still getting used to all the stuff. Using it gingerly till I break in for the first 1300 mi.

Mine now shows as awaiting carrier assignment. My CA is off on Mondays, so hopefully I will have an update on delivery date tomorrow.

Now I'm just trying to decide on whether I need a Level 2 charger or not...

That will depend on your use case. If you won't be using it daily then you may be able to get away with not getting one.

I will be using it as my daily driver. I'm leaning towards probably getting one but my head is spinning as to the different options available.

Then I would say you will need one. Without it you will likely not have enough time to get a full charge. There are numerous threads discussing the various chargers available so check them out and also check with your electric company to see if they offer a rebate on specific ones.

Mine has been dispatched from the factory as of yesterday and my CA says it will be arriving soon. Will either be taking delivery tomorrow or Friday. My bet is late tomorrow or sometime on Friday since I don't think it has arrived yet.
