Mucho Miles pre-Delivery?

EDIT: OK Disregard, thanks to roamio for pointing out that I'm a dumbass lol.

Just checking to see if this is “normal” or if this has happened to anyone.
Background: My X5 was delayed “at the port” for about a week waiting for the flow-through spoiler to be installed. Well, it ended up on back order so they contacted my CA and said to ask customer if I wanted to wait or release it to the carrier. I said heck with it, release it because who knows how long it will sit there. So they release it and it only takes a day before it gets to the dealer (Orlando). The CA sent me some preview pics today since I’m not picking up until Friday. I’m fawning over the pics until I realize what is on the display. I’m kinda shocked at this much mileage “off the truck.” So, what’s your guess? Driven to the dealer or the Port’s temporary errand car? Should I be calling B.S.??

Are you talking about "miles driven"? I think left side shows "until empty".

Ugh! I'm embarrassed. I got all freaked out and didn't even think of that. I'm used to seeing very small numbers "until empty" on the Golf R hehe. Thanks for talking the noob off the ledge LOL.

Something similar happened to me when I was shopping around for my LCI X6. I kept asking dealers why the new cars have over 500 miles on the odo and they kept saying “it is because people keep test driving cars for fun and not serious about buying”.
