I have used IS2000 on canyon aggressive where I don't brake hard as much as track day 20 minutes session, and it was good enough while maintaining low dust and no squeal.
But, on track day, a lot of high speed breaking from 100 to 40, after 20 turns, it started to fade.
Do you have something spicier than the IS2000? I tear up the road between flagstaff and sedona, as well as going out to tortilla flats and heading out to the lake. I don't go more than 6/10ths but that's a lot in this car

Yes, it would be IS3500, about same amount of dust as stock, slight squeal.
Special order item.

I'm on the fence with the 1500 vs 2000 for the x5 45e. I suppose the 45e has less dust than a non hybrid because of the regenerative braking. The 2000 is recommended for the north east but the graphs show that regardless at cold temps the 1500 is better than OEM. Another user has also said on an X5m that the 1500 was fine in the cold. I dont want to be disappointed getting the 2000 and saving a little brake dust vs oem. For 600+ for the set I really want improvement. What to do?

Just ordered a set...
Now the electronic parking brake, I guess I can use my scan tool to reset it.

Why do you need a scan tool to reset it?

All that I have ever had to do is back out the brake manually via star bit, once all the "home" the break at first start performs a calibration to reset the distance. Super easy since you are already doing the break job.

Just seems easier to do it electronically but we will do it the manual way.

Ok so the is2000 vs m sport brakes for the 45e.. what percentage reduction we talking about here? 50%? How about the is1500 (which you did not recommend for NY climate)?

First and foremost I don't want to lose braking capability on a 5600 lb car. Brake dust comes second but to spend close to 700 on a set looking to see how much dust reduction I'll get for that price.

And lastly do these wear any faster than stock pads?

Funny I thought the other way around, since it has to come off anyway and you can back it out by hand. lol But yeah I didn't know if for some reason there was anything for the 23 models that required it to be a must.

M Sport brakes get dirty after 10 miles of driving.
IS2000 will take about 50 miles, roughly.
It is all depending on what kind of traffic condition that you are driving on.
From my testing from my home to office, which mostly highway and about 12 stop light round trip and little highway traffic.

Non M doesn't have drilled rotor, so it doesn't have as much friction. When I tested IS1500 on my G05 X5 40i with M Sprot brake and drove it to cold climate area (close to freezing temp), early in the morning there is no initial bite. Took me about 1/4 to 1/2 miles with 2 stop sign before I re-gain the initial bite.
Upon returning from my trip, I've changed it to IS2000. So far I haven't took it to cold climate area yet, but I went to a place where it was 50º in the morning and initial bite is not affected at all.

Wear wise, it is depending on your traffic condition.
I have seen guys with M car that lives in heavily congested area and always stuck in traffic, his stock brake pads only last him 10k miles.
Keep in mind that brake pad doesn't wear out based on your driving distance, it is based on how often and how hard you are rubbing it against the rotor. It is not like tire where it have friction to the ground all the time.

Did the front pads yesterday and didn't have to retract the pistons, truck has only 4700 miles. Hoping for the same today on the rear and not deal with the electronic parking brake.

I am aware of that. What I said was that the fronts did not require pushing in the piston. Hoping to have the same result in the rear as to not deal with electronic brake.

Was able to do rear brakes without dealing with the electronic parking since the thickness of the RG pads were about the same as factory. So I able to slip the caliper back on without issue. Truck has 4800 miles on it.

Dust output is night and day better.

Nice!!

Maybe tricky if your pads are worn down?

Got a set of IS1500's from Ben about a month ago. They work great, no noise and still great bite.... Actually a little more bite than the stock pads. So nice to be able to wash the car and not have the wheels get dirty again after 2 days. Not a cheap mod, but totally worth it IMHO.
