Agree, I received the ID Me $2000, $500 from BMW, $1000 for knowing someone who owns a BMW.

The only thing I'm really hard at thinking is the adaptive drive $2,100 since we do more city driving and less highway. I already have the BMW Wall Charger and scheduling that to be installed, one quote was $1,800. Breaker panel in the basement, 20 ft run through the unfinished and then another 25 ft in the garage were we want it.

Okay, when we talk about discounts from MSRP we do not include incentives, those are broken out separately since not everyone qualifies for them.

For clarity, ID.me is the method for verifying eligibility, the incentive come from BMWFS. There is no incentive available for knowing someone that has a BMW, that could be your local dealer's discount program. There is also no $500 available from BMW as a discount, that also must have been your dealer's discount.

You will have to explain what you mean by Adaptive Drive for $2,100. Are you possibly referring to the Driving Assistance Professional package? That costs $2,100 and is a must have, don't even think about getting the vehicle without it in my opinion not only for the driving assistance features but also the extra safety features.

Okay,I understand about the discounts but still it was nice to get 3,500 off MSRP. We did make change to the by removing the Heated front seats, armrests & steering wheel and the 4 zone automatic climate control. Replaced it with the Climate Comfort Package since it was a $600 difference and added the heated back seats plus ventilated seats. Decided against the Driving Assistance Professional Package, 1) we do not do a lot of highway driving, 2) the option gets disabled after 8 yrs. Now BMW may perform software upgrades to the system at a cost but I was not going to take the chance. This is the last car I'll be buying. Now I have a 2021 F150 4x4 FX4 Super Crew and a 2024 BMW X5 xDrive50e for my wife.

I have not been told and I have seen our vehicle on their screen for the manufacture. We are next in line for a quota, I did see they sold 7 the other month and one that was in production around the 25th of May just received their hybrid after 3 weeks.

Whatever you are comfortable with. Just for info though, the Driving Assistance Package will not be disabled after 8 years. What may be disabled is the Highway Assistant, the rest of the package will continue to operate was usual.

I was told yesterday that the June 25th time frame is when I should get an allocation. Will see and I have the BMW wall box getting installed around 3rd week of July. Go on vacation around the beginning of Aug for 10 days, so most likely will not pick it up till we get back.

When an order is placed really doesn't tell you much since it is when the dealer has an allocation. In your case for example, your order has been placed and hopefully at the end of the month the dealer will be able to give you an allocation for it. If they do then the vehicle will be built in August. If they have more orders in the order bank ahead of you and they aren't able to get enough allocations to satisfy them, then you will have to wait until August allocations for a September build.

Things have gotten a lot better than they have been as we have seen some dealers with waiting lists that ran months before a person could get an allocation.

I have 106,000 miles on it. CarMax and Carvana online say $14,000. I plan to sell it to one of them if BMW won't give me close to that. I don't think they will. They are both near the dealership.

Not sure about your state but many give a sales tax exemption for the trade-in value so you will want to take that into account when deciding the best route to go.

So, after an allocation is granted by the manufacture, roughly how long do you receive a production number?

Allocations are given to dealers each month. When they enter an order and they have an open allocation then the production number is available right away. In some cases the CA will take your order but it won't be entered into the system for a day or so depending on who enters the order. Once it is entered the production number is available. If you don't receive a production number within a few days of ordering that likely means the dealer does not have an allocation.

Congrats, you can now use the F12 process to get your production date.

Thanks. I'm trying to get some data on what may be a process/timing change. It used to be that going to Production Begins occurred about two weeks prior to the actual production date but it looks like that may have changed to be about three weeks prior. We will need to get a lot more data before drawing a conclusion though.
