Changes to our Build

Our current order
X5 xDrive50e
Black Sapphire Metallic
Tartufo Extended Merino Leather
Parking Assistance Package
Premium Package
Climate Comfort Package
Multi-contour Seats

That puts us at $80400 just over the Federal tax allowance.

What we are trying to figure out is, is the Tartufo Extended Merino Leather worth $1,950? We've read a lot on the forums about taking care of it, and there isn't that much especially due to the ventilation seats.

We are thinking of dropping the Tartufo and replacing it with Cognac Sensafin. That would bring us down to $78,450 before destination charge of $995 and including it would bring it to $79445. Either with or without the destination charge we would be below the $80k for the federal tax break.

What do you all think?

The destination charge is not included in the MSRP for the purposes of getting the tax credit. If you are including it in the $80,400, which I don't think you are, then you have nothing to worry about.

If you aren't and have to trim it really comes down to whether or not you can live with the Sensafin or if there will always be the "I wonder if I should have" in the back of your mind. If the later then I say get it as that little regret may not be worth taking the tax credit.

Today it went through exterior body assembly and paint booth. It is currently sitting at "entering assembly line".
