For this timeframe I would guess either the engine or transmission.

I guess there could be but I have not seen any others which would make sense if it was one of those. You wouldn't expect a while batch of either to have problems that were caught in QC. It obviously could be anything but I was trying to guess at something that would take fairly long to acquire. Although by now I would have though the lead time on any part would have been less than your wait.

Had the same issue with my initial iX order. I waited several weeks and no answer, while others zipped through with the same build and options. Never got an answer.

Did you try to call the Genius hotline and ask them?

I’ve talked to the Genius hotline AND the dealership. No one can tell me anything. I know someone who knows someone at the plant, and he couldn’t give me an answer other than it could be related to a chip shortage.

Never mind, just saw Turtle’s answer in the other thread that the factory won’t give out that information.

Hope it’s not because of ripped floor liners or something like that.
