Ok, neophyte here. Apologies.

Spec’d and paid a deposit on a ‘24 xDrive 40i. Optioned about all I want to pay for: Premium, heated seats, Parkihg, tow hitch, spare tire kit. Stopped by dealership to show wife the color I’ve selected (Manhattan green) and commented on the black grill on the one I was looking at. The salesman mentioned “chrome delete.” Not sure but two questions. He said build slated to start 8/14. Too late? What is the upcharge for chrome delete?

There is no chrome delete option. He was likely referring to the M Sport Professional package which includes the Extended Shadowline trim. You will of course have to order the M Sport package if you don't have it.

Since you don't have any Individual items you can make a change at any time prior to going to Production Begins (150) which should happen very soon.

Ok I’ve seen that $1600 package. I’ve about loaded all I need in my little basket.

Thanks. (I ordered the 20” standard wheels, mainly because I recognize the incremental ride quality that size provides over larger wheels and because I wanted the all season tires. But wow, I hate that it’ll look like a stripper if I ever meet anyone posting on this forum!)
