Yes it will show texts. You need to configure the BT setting on your phone to ensure the texts are forwarded to the car. On an iphone you go to BT find your car in the list select 'i' and ensure " Show Notifications" is turned on.

Yes, mine shows them but doesn't show them and will read them but the sender always shows as Unknown. I only ever got some from my wife so it could be the way I have her set up in Contacts or something, just haven't looked into. As wjakridgeii said, make sure you have show notifications turned on for the bluetooth connection.

I believe it will if you have Carplay enabled but if Carplay is enabled it takes over anyway. I have not gotten it to work without Carplay enabled. The manual says it should work though without Carplay.

I have not used CarPlay yet, just the bluetooth connection. The notification will show and you can go to text messages and it will read it. You can not send/reply though so you need to engage Siri for that. What I have been doing is if I see I received a message I just engage Siri ad have her read new messages and then reply that way.

When I pressed the button on the right panel it said something about phone number not sent with the message. I have an iPhone X max, FWIW. |
